Fontaines are definitely the right level to headline Woodsies, but do you think a band like them who are still pretty on the up would take that? I guess Charli did?

Maybe Other Sub or 4th/5th down Pyramid are the other slots they could do?

Yeah kind of what I was thinking. Charli XCX and CATQ are the only newer acts I can think of that've headlined Woodsies recently but they'd both been around for about 8 years before then - For fontaines it's only been about 5-6.

Hope they do other sub myself on the Saturday, with LCD headlining woodsies right after.

LCD are still headlining festivals so I’m not sure passage of time has pushed them too far down the bill.

Yup, playing to a busy WH has got to be better than playing to a dead Other, and I’m sure Al has fond memories of Hot Chips 2015 set.

If it is LCD, Jungle and Chaka Khan, that’s a solid set of headliners.

If Jungle are Saturday- surely that would mean LCD on the Sunday as there's hopefully no way they'd clash Chaka Khan and Stevie.

You’d think so, but also, after the Jessie Ware and Roisin Murphy clash in ‘23 you can never tell. 

Fingers fully crossed we can vibe to Stevie and Chaka.

No. Got nice convenient dates and Sunday free but I’m not expecting them to be there.

Massive American tour announced by vampire weekend. 

You could look at the dates 2 ways. 

The optimistic would be that actually there is a GSH. They could be there. 

The second would be, it's a massive US tour and they are just having a breather in the middle.

I don't know.

The 2 new tracks are great and enjoyed much more than most the stuff from the last album. So I really hope they are there in a non clashing slot.

Vampire Weekend are a European exclusive at Primavera. Whether you choose to believe that or not is another thing, but they’ve not been announced for any other EU festivals so I really don’t see them playing Glastonbury this year. Think after playing on every album cycle and working their way up to Pyramid sub they’ve pretty much hit their ceiling and will just not play this time around. 

Obviously could always be in contention for a secret set so that’ll be one to look out for, but they already did that in 2019 so unsure how likely that is either.
