festivalguy97
I guess we are getting some names early next week
UnBiloTitled
Some new names should definitely be around the corner. I keep my fingers crossed that there are some good artists this time. It should be the last names before the poster reveal sometime this spring. it's usually in april right?
FrogLobster
Could see Kings Of Leon being added as a headliner on Saturday; they are about next summer. Their last 5 or so albums are utterly forgettable but they had some amazing early songs on those first few albums. Haven't seen them since about 2009 so not sure what their current sets are like. As I've read in other forums, artist like 21 Savage and Maneskin are probably the biggest names we are getting next week. Cannot see anyone else getting added at this point for headliners. Smaller names are harder to predict, but I can see Michael Kiwanuka, Air, L´imperatrice and others.

I don’t know when it will be announced, but there is a much bigger name than either of those on the way.

UnBiloTitled
The Last Dinner Party is the number one must see for me at the moment. Fantastic band. I lived on the hope that they would be booked, and luckily they did!
FrogLobster
Full Lineup announced:
FrogLobster
Overall, im content for my tastes. Some acts I haven't seen before but have been wanting to see for a while (Heilung, Better Lovers, Skrillex, Myrkur), a bunch that have seen before and will reliably put on amazing shows (Foos, Jane's Addiction, PJ Harvey, The Armed, Frank Carter, Kvelertak, While She Sleeps) and some im curious to check out (Doja Cat, Khrungabin, Gel, Belle and Sebastian, Kim Gordon, Julie Christmas, Lankum etc). I usually don't like the rush of sprinting between stages at fests so have breathing room to check out the smaller stages and more niche acts. 🙂 Its clear they have struggled with larger-name headliners; Foos being the only main heavy-hitter. Thursday top slots look like a scrambling mess, Doja is definetly weaker/risky booking and no idea of SZA's size in Denmark as AFAIK she has never played here before. Surprised they didn't draft in a large Danish pop name (Lukas Graham, MO, Jada, Minds of 99) for one of the Orange headliner positions. I do understand why people are saying its massively weaker than previous years; because overall it is. Especially if you go back 5 or 6 years and compare it to 2019 and 2018 lineups. UnBiloTitled
All in all, I have extremely mixed feelings about this lineup. It's weak, yes, but also quite okay, quite strong, in its own way? But considering what it could have been, with the acts playing at festivals around the same dates as Roskilde. I have to say that, as usual nowadays (unfortunately), I'm disappointed with the lineup. But, I'm not there for the music anymore. It's been many many years since Roskilde's lineup appealed to me in that way. That said, I'm really looking forward to the highlight of the year. Let the countdown begin!
FrogLobster
Lucked out on the set times and no clashes between the main acts I want to see! Currently got this running order (with enough gaps to check out some other stuff on smaller stages): Weds: Better Lovers > Frank Carter & Rattlesnakes > Doja Cat > Heilung Thurs: While She Sleeps > Belle & Sebastian > Gel > Khruangbin > Last Dinner Party > Skrillex > Brutalismus 3000 Fri: Aurora > Kim Gordon > Kali Uchis > Foo Fighters > Julie Christmas > Kvelertak Sat: Lankum > PJ Harvey > Jane's Addiction > Myrkur > The Armed Edited May 11 by FrogLobster

Going tomorrow and Fri Started raining just as Doja Cat was finishing; but wasn't that heavy. Rain predicted for Friday and Saturday; fully expect the trains leaving the festival site on Saturday will be rammed. 😅 Edited July 4 by FrogLobster
FrogLobster
In my attendance of 60+ festivals all across Europe, I think Ice Spice might have been the worst musician I have seen on a festival stage. FrogLobster
Ok, I take it back. This 'Sexy Red' set makes the Ice Spice one look like Bjork. And she is subbing FOO FIGHTERS. Edited July 5 by FrogLobster

In general I was very skeptical by the Roskilde program, but in the end I actually saw some great concerts. I would say though that: I was not surprised by some concerts not performing on Orange. What were they thinking? I'm not only talking Sexyredd/Ice Spice. PJ Harvey was oddly placed there as well (this concert I saw). Watching Jane's Addiction the last day made one thing very clear to me: I miss more artists that are crazy skilled on their instruments - or bring a band that can give this feel. I was blown away at how well they played and sounded together - wish my body had more energy at this point.
