As said, I assume he's doing something in the UK given he seems to be playing everywhere else in Europe and in big stadiums to boot. But for him, we'll just have to keep guessing what that something is.
Maybe it's just the nature of Biffy Clyro now being a bit more of a cult band. Similar to how Depeche Mode seemed at one point to just do London shows only for the UK, maybe with Birmingham & Manchester if they were really pushing the boat out.
My parents went on holiday in Yorkshire a few months ago and were a little disappointed that the site was restricted due to the gigs. But I don't think until looking into it to see the scale just how many gigs they hold at the Halifax Piece Hall.
