The Festival acknowledges that booking SZA was viewed as a mistake by many and is keen to learn from the small crowd, Contact has been made with her team post festival and the bookers are actually keen for SZA to return to the farm in the future although no actual plans are put in place at this point, the team don’t want SZA legacy with the festival to be perceived as a negative one. They will follow her career closely and it may be 10 or more years when she returns and as to what slot she occup
Depends on the crowd. If the rumours are true that the younger cohorts did well in the ticket scrum going for pure oldies acts could fall a bit flat. If you’re going to have more than one support might as well mix it up. In Manchester in 1995 I saw the Chems support them, it doesn’t always have to be meat and potatoes indie from th’nineties only.
I'd say a lot more would stay in the pub with modern support acts...especially as that seems to just mean "Fontaines" for most people, which would go down terribly
