CaledonianGonzo
It happening one year is fine, but if folk are consistently jacking it in early cos of a weak line-up it's not going to be sustainable for repeat business.

Tried leaving on the Monday once, had to pull into a lay-by and sleep
K2SO
Any reason in particular that we wouldn't be speculating that Noah Kahan could be headlining?

Probably because he's still only a one-album fella here. Wouldn't be the first time we've punted fresh, but there's usually a homegrown slant. (Aware he has three records, but only one has been a hit.) Would consider him a credible sub shout, but if he's going anywhere, it'll be R+L or BST, surely. When you consider it alongside last year it couldn't be more different - night and day - back then, the pathways were still crammed at midnight with people making their exodus after Elton. Wildglastotheo
People have always historically been leaving on the Sunday- this is why they are allowed to sell Sunday tickets for locals, because the amount of people on site is greatly reduced by Sunday. But more recent festivals people are more likely to stay until Monday. I think the festival organisers are keen to get people leaving at a steady pace from Sunday mid-day anyway to minimise disruption in the local area. Its part of their licence. And the exit in 2024 was much more smooth - no massive waits in the carparks etc. I think the main reason for the steady exodus was not just SZA but that there were no acts on the lineup on Sunday after about 4/5pm that were ‘must see acts’ for many people. I had no-one on my watch list on Sunday after the Zutons, but Avril Lavigne and Shania Twain where obviously both popular. Friday on the other hand had so many heartbreaking clashes for me. On another note: have the Foo Fighters been ruled out for 2025? we haven’t had a year without a repeat headliner for about the last 10 Glastonburys so maybe we are looking at. O-Rod - Fred again - ‘Repeat’

I had never considered this was why Sunday tickets were allowed but it does make sense. I do however feel that the amount is usually far less than the amount of Sunday locals tickets sold. This year was unprecedented, we were as always in E21 Accessible Forward Campervan Field. Normally people are taking stuff back to the car in readiness of leaving after the headliner, then return to the festival. It was mainly one way foot traffic, they were off home. This was about 8pm when we nipped back for warm clothes. Foo Fighters are allegedly taking an indefinite hiatus following the birth of Dave Grohls child. So I would definitely say that rules them out.

I checked out Nia Archives and unfortunately left for the GA dj set finishing with The Feeling. But I can see why that wouldn't appeal to many and it was overall as poor set of Sunday night bands as I've seen booked.

We watched The National for the first time and was honestly blown away - brilliant set. Have found myself going back again and again to their music since then. Caught end of The Feeling and then The Scratch down on Peace Stage. We had a great Sunday night and did think if there had been a huge Sun night headliner on Pyramid we would have missed all of them. So it swings in roundabouts sometimes.
