The Festival acknowledges that booking SZA was viewed as a mistake by many and is keen to learn from the small crowd, Contact has been made with her team post festival and the bookers are actually keen for SZA to return to the farm in the future although no actual plans are put in place at this point, the team don’t want SZA legacy with the festival to be perceived as a negative one. They will follow her career closely and it may be 10 or more years when she returns and as to what slot she occup
Yet The Cure did play some festivals in 2023 where they had no control over the prices. We also have to consider that the 2022/2023 arena tour was basically the tour for the forthcoming album since 5 new tracks were played regularly. So a festival tour seems more likely, as there's no guarantee they could sell out another arena tour again so soon.
That's my thought, but in both instances, they were just the end of the European legs.
Next year looks like it might be the end of the tour proper. Despite saying they won't retire, I cannot see them going for more than three years on the trot, unless they intend to pivot to a Rolling Stones-style schedule of dozen-show legs on repeat.
