Bang on - its a right pain making sure you don't leak stuff across too!

doesnt matter when the info comes or where I find the whole we know better thing  really odd , when there are posters on both sites that are very knowledgeable whats with the secrecy ? many people post of both sites and see the information anyway ... its not a secret society that you pledge a vow of allegiance is it ? personally not bothered about any delays in info coming across but others might like it the exact same time ... will get here at some point anyway thats the nature of the World Wide Web and large Glastonbury communities . Hopefully people have moved on enough for secrets now

it's a massive reason why people used to be here. Maybe not anymore because I think the only decent source I can see posting is @mufcok. trust me, people want to know who is headlining in advance I can guarantee that.

I was literally trying to share info from there on here and it immediately gets shot down by @kalifire. The only was new info is gonna find it's way here is if someone posts it like i just did. Instead of just being accepted and discussed, it is dismissed. 

 

What do you mean secrets? People can be on both places but it's  a fact they get the good info now and people on here will want to hear the newest rumours.

mate weve moved on ... if the info comes it comes if it doesnt so be it . theres good numbers returning and new signups and gold subscriptions as ever anyone is free to share info if they wish ... if people left and dont want to thats up to them entirely ... both sites exist separately but people have always trusted info in varrying degrees wherever / whoever it comes from and that certainly hasnt changed , some people are just more sceptical . If anyone wants to chuck info at the mods or Avalon fields who curates the lineup page thats cool to

Of course its not a secret society - but some sources like to not have their info posted elsewhere if possible so its fair to respect that (i guess to try and make it less traceable or whatever).

 

Just don't want to get in trouble / respect the wishes of people giving out info basically 🙂

It does, the Discord line up page does credit Efests when the info has come from here though, to be fair. 🙂 

They also have Efests listed on their useful links page.

Other than a few mischievous members, there's no need for the whole us vs them thing, a lot of us use both resources. It would be nice to be able to credit Discord with the information when it comes from there.

On a serious note, are the three main headliners always leaked? Or is there room for unexpected surprises every year? I might be a bit naive, but I'd like to think that not everything is known in advance, even if a lot of things can be guessed.

If there's info that Neil Young is headlining then why can't that be posted and discussed in here? People are hear to find this stuff out. @kalifireimplies im posting it to cause conflict when it's literally just to discuss headliners in a headliner thread.

Usually at least 2 are known a fair bit in advance. Sometimes all 3. It depends how easily the festival secures their headliners. Last year the SZA stuff came late but that was because she was booked late. Due and Coldplay was known for ages.

It seems pretty set in stone imo at this point.

There's still heaps of other stages though! 🙂many big acts won't be known till poster day or even later

In previous years, I think The Who were a bit left field and last minute, and Florence bumping up when Dave Grohl broke his leg was also a late surprise.

it absolutely can just like every other headliner ... but just like every headliner some people wont accept it , and some will .... im less likely to accept things I dont want 🙂

It can absolutely be posted and discussed here and only 1 person disagreed with you and hasn't posted in over an hour.
