Still have no idea what your point is about the sun? Seems to be that you're wound up that it was mentioned and people have voiced their distaste at it?

Very strange.

Instead of discussing any of the names in the article, it immediately became a competition as to who hates the Sun more as it always does on here.

Not every post needs to be prefaced with 'I hate the Sun'

You don't get to choose what people post about so if they want to post their opinion on the sun then they can.

Ignore it & get over it.

It's a Glastonbury headliner thread, apologies for thinking it was a better to discuss Glastonbury headliners than politics and hillsborough.

You've literally posted more posts about this than any other single poster. 🤣

Every response you make perpetuates the discussion … if you want to talk about headliners then do so and the thread goes back to that topic …

It’s much better to discuss the latter. This thread is just an endless circle of pointless speculation

At the same time, you could choose not to make it a thread about how hurt you are that people aren’t recognising the source from which you first found out about specific rumours. It’s beyond tedious.

I know that Stevie Wonder is definitely at BST this yr. He is doing it with Mariah Carey

Now we have something interesting to discuss.

I hope this makes a GF appearance more likely and perhaps that vile rag we cannot mention for fear of annoying one poster might have had some info on it too.

Given they could do it individually I'm raising an eyebrow at why they'd feel the need to do it as a duo.

Could Mariah Carey really do it? I mean for a non-Christmas tour?

Looking at her setlists, she seems to do Christmas themed shows in Nov/Dec, and then completely different shows in the other 10 months (which don't usually have any of the Christmas songs in them).

This is the setlist from her recent Vegas run, and tbh it's not something that I'd expect to fill Hyde Park:

not a duo, she is just playing on the same day

On the same bill?  What I meant.

I reckon she could do BST, sure.  Its not a typical festival and if it was her only UK show she'd pack it.

She's not a support act at any rate.

If people knew they were getting the Vegas setlist, I'm not sure she'd get it half full.

Though yeah without making that clear she maybe could sell it out, albeit then leaving a lot of people disappointed on the day.

Put it on sale around now and as said, a uk exclusive, and would be fine.

Seems unlikely she'd support Stevie - he would have dirt cheap support surely as he's guaranteed to sell it well

I mean, with two spots left, I could buy Stevie and Mariah as the two remaining headliners.

I also know you can get Thursday shows at BST - my stumbling block for Stevie is that the only weekend dates left at Hyde Park would be a fortnight later. Sure, he and the band could just kick their heels in the big smoke for a few weeks, but it doesn't feel like it lines up.

Somebody like The 1975, on the other hand, are all British-based (I think?), so it's not exactly a logistics stretch for them.

Rumours of The Prodigy wasn’t there? Would expect 4 from them and Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter, Jack White, Nick Cave, Biffy Clyro and I think there was a strong rumour of Yungblud but not sure how legit the source was.
