Their best known appearance was of course when they stood in for the Stone Roses in ‘95, but headlined again in ‘98. Not so many people refer to that one. Their current show is terrific and would only enhance their Glasto reputation. i think some people can be territorial over what they’ve seen at Glasto (and elsewhere of course) and are reluctant for the artists to repeat it and allow others to experience and enjoy it too Interesting way if looking at it but I think there might be some truth in that. Like it dilutes the experience, makes it less special somehow.

She done it well too, so there's no real need to revisit and risk damaging her Glasto legacy. well she did Coachella and that makes Glasto look like a primary school play. 🤷🏻♂️ if she wanted to do it again thats her decision. Nothings getting ruined. Edited yesterday at 05:12 PM by Suprefan

I saw McCartney at the O2 last week, and whilst I’ve seen gigs of his I’ve enjoyed more (mainly because he’s best experienced in a large outdoor setting IMO), I still really enjoyed it and it didn’t take anything away from Glasto and all the rest. If I really like an artist, chances are I’ll see them multiple times, and obviously some are going to be better, or more memorable, than others. I’d never think ‘I hope they stop touring now as that will never be bettered’

And fair play to you, racking up those air miles to attend a primary school play.

Feels like turning up at another stadium might be a likelier shout tbh. EDIT: Ah I wasn't aware but in September there was an Evening Standard article suggesting she was going to announce another 5 night run at that stadium, to go with the 2023 residency that was also 5 nights at Daniel Levy's place. I’d never think ‘I hope they stop touring now as that will never be bettered’ Yeah I've just realised what I wrote wasn't clear. I agree with what you are saying. The stuff about it 'diluting' a previous show was what I imagine someone who doesn't want an artist to play again (such as Pulp in your example) might say. And is a bit mad. Also, which night were you at the O2? Did you get Ringo?

Never seen him on a pre-Christmas tour, so getting Wonderful Christmastime was great, but witnessing two Beatles together for the first time was a big deal for me ✌🏼
angelin
I hope not Beyoncé as it will be all the country songs that hardly anyone knows. She won’t repeat the same set.
