To be fair, he's only marginally above evens, and there's a maximum stake of £25 on the market so nobody is getting rich.

Still think it needs a few more miles on the clock.  Swap one of the lads out for Stevie and it'd be set fair.

Seems a bit dull. A headliner trio that wouldn’t be out of place at Reading and Leeds or BBC Big Weekend or whatever it’s called now.

The old owner here was rude to a load of old regulars on here who now have a big discord with a decent amount of in the know people on there.

That is where Glastonbury is going on the whole now really. None of this years headliners would have looked out of place there. One actually did it.

As much as I'll quote The Post again, I did read it I the vein that he was the next step along if both Rihanna and Stevie were unable to. I think he would close on Sunday as well

you can access discord via app or on a computer, it's a cross between a forum and a group chat in this context really

Discord is basically IRC with bells on.  There's a web version, iirc, but it's a decent client to have on your pc or phone as quite a lot of communities, from gaming to interest groups, use it these days.

What about posting something like the Glasto subreddit then? Not trying to churn up an argument, but ultimately the internet is full of stuff that can potentially take away traffic from this site.

 

And not that I'd recommend people to visit that particular Discord, the culture there is full of puritan hall monitor posturing and immature cliquey/mobbing behavior. Not to mention of course the whole ticket day shenanigans last year.

We need something to tell us it’s a possibility though, at the moment it’s nothing more than a pipe dream.

Back when eFestivals was owned and run by Neil, quite a lot of "rival" festival news sites/forums, eg. virtual/strictly were blocked links. In the case of the discord, we'd discussed this with Iggy, and the direct block has been removed for discord servers in general because the internet is in a very different place to how it was 15+ years ago. 

 

However, for this specific discord, several members there have decided to directly target eFestivals to grow that platform including trying to be disruptive to moderators here, and it is because of that culture that we won't permit public links.

Agreed he was great. Just not sure he's ready to step up to headliner. If he had a strong album coming out then why not. If it's a bit meh then no? Make or break

quite ironic really that the real threat turned out to be the previous owner himself and not the rival websites.

 

It’s nice here now, but not as busy sadly - it might recover more if said previous owner wasn’t still hanging out in his old shop doorway.
