Yes but go and find me the bands that can outright headline a major UK festival that have played Scarborough open air. And I'll also note I reckon it's one of those venue's that will pull in decent acts like Halifax Piece Hall but none of then are headlining your top major music festivals. They hold a unique booking I'd say and Scarborough especially away from a lot of other places but small and open. A little like Swansea Singleton Park just a bit bigger. There is multiple times a band has sold 39k but not headlined an 80-90k capacity event....and there is a reason for that. I'm not taking anything away from then being a popular booking but that's what they are.

Also, does it make Rise Against more likely for this with only a Manchester date for their 2025 early tour? I've literally got bands coming out everywhere for me in a no money year. The Offspring with a new album witj simple plan joining....literally hitting the the nail on the head. Disturbed with three days grace potentially and now rise against. It is indeed, but I do wonder how much a rarity factor can play into those things.

Edit: now on rocksound https://rocksound.tv/news/download-festival-lineup-announcement-date Over 60 names, so probably 61 lol is a fair amount of bands to give an idea of if its for you or not. That's enough to fill a fair portion of main stage, second stage and some of Avalanche with other bits. Also sidenote, Metallica and Linkin Park did the first Sonisphere....would be a dream for those 2 to team up again for a Soni return or a new fest in July. Andre91
Genuinely curious how much money they’ve had to chuck at Acid Bath to get them to play a show again after 27-28 years.

Tickets are like $360 after fees and they offer loads of VIP options without having camping, needing the site for as long as a Uk fest or needing lots of infrastructure as the location is at a purpose built festival grounds with toilets, power and plumbing etc already in situ. Wow $360 for one day is extortionate! Especially as all the bands clash anyway.

Yeah $400 for one day is madness and that's without a booking fee. Makes WWWY look cheap.

And like @northernangelhas said they have upped it to $400 plus fees for GA, $550 plus fees for GA+ (access to a lounge, air conditioned toilets, GA+ entry lane and lockers - which you have to pay extra for) or $650 plus fees for VIP (same as GA+ along with a front viewing area at the main stages, phone charging station and a VIP merch stall which gives you priority access to buy merch)... I hate the front viewing area thing, absolutely sucks when you are charged to get a better view. Just had a look at the Download RIP options that have been put on sale. Absolute rip off as well.
