Seen Weezer twice and it was fantastic. 

 

Someone brought up the Hella Mega set and yeah, that would go down a storm.

Weezer at Reading one year bashing out the greatest hits, when before that they'd been hesitant to, was probably second only to Biffy in 2013 in best sets I saw in my 17 Readings I attended.

Weezer at Leeds 2010 is in my Top 10 sets ever. Absolutely brilliant performance.

To be honest Reading and Leeds 10 is probably the best lineup they had in the last 20 years.

I live near there and wish it was used more tbh. Wasn't used for anything for 7 years until Muse in 2023.

 

I do think it can do better with managing car parking or venue entry, given I seem to recall it being subject to a lot of complaints even before the return.

Thought the MCR gigs at Stadium MK were well managed, the walk back to the hotel near the bowl was even marshalled all the way. Queues for a beer were shocking though!

It does, I think currently they've agreed to let them play Glastonbury on the Saturday as well.

They've got to do 3 dates between Norway Glastonbury and Luxembourg over 5 days with a day's rest between each one, a day's rest after and 4 days rest before. Not even in the top 10 is a bit exaggerated. If you take out Rihanna, Fender and Stevie I don't see two they are any leas likely than anyone else.

 

That's not strictly true, he said they are open to one offs in some places they haven't done for a while.

Reference Green Day I find it doubtful even for DL on the Friday...the Logistics to get across to Italy with that one day in between is telling me No Chance for Download

Ah yeah, got weekends mixed up although they're still not doing it IMO. Fred, Olivia, Fender, Sheeran, Stevie, Eminem all top picks before you even get to less likely stuff like Harry Styles or really outlandish stuff like Rihanna. 

 

Not a complete impossibility but I really don't see them being a top pick over at least 10 other acts on Emily's list and she probably won't have to go through that many saying no.

They have to get to Vienna from Florence in the two days after which obviously isn't as far but is still a fair way to go with a days rest so I still think it's quite easily possible

I wouldn't even put at this moment Harry, Eminem or Ed in the mix. You have a complete gap we know about for Green Day that makes them easily possible. I will say though, I had them for the Saturday so one of the people with Olivia information is wrong and I'd actually be inclined to suggest based on that odds against Green Day.

I feel like the gap gives way more credit to Green Day than everyone suggested for Glastonbury bar Olivia as she has the dates surrounding it. So until that gets filled it’s a possibility. Billie Joe has also been to Glasto. Eminem, Sheeran, Rihanna and Stevie Wonder don’t even have any dates to suggest they’ll be touring. You could maybe put Fred Again and Sam Fender firmly in the conversation too. Anyway, kinda besides the point because it doesn’t make a different if Green Day did Glasto & Download when the lineup isn’t announced until like April next year and it’s a very different clientele.

They could easily hold Green Day back as late as they want and announced them on the poster. It does mean Olivia has to likely do Glastonbury directly a day before 2 dates in Manchester. With K200 information I'd be saying it's looks very very likely.

I cannot imagine Green Day's set would be that complex, especially if it is reduced for festival stages.

 

It's going to be a squeeze, but not implausible.

 

If they don't do Download, then the ball has been dropped after those seemingly significant hints.
