So after having been to Birmingham tonight for the Bullet tour, I thought Bullet were very better but I also like them more. If I'm honest, I could have picked a different band for them to tour with.

Nice addition on the tour of Waking the Demon as well from the following album.

Birmingham however still had tickets for all the main sections on sale this afternoon and it was very clear to tell it wasn't sold out. People were coming in solely for Bullet when I popped out for a pint though this could work for other nights for Trivium closing, just my experience. The 02 also still has tickets in virtually every area except for the front pit and the middle terrace areas for some. Why they've done a hell hole/snake fit for this gig I'm not sure, a bit odd. There are bands out there that charge comfortably more than these did too for arenas.

I don't either of these headlining Downlosd though at all, bands that have played gigs this size without doing co-headlining have only subbed Download before so unless the festival scale comes down a lot I see no chance. That's my view. It has likely ticked the box off for seeing them now though.

Biffy Only Revolutions 15 year anniversary in full please. ta x

Haha if only, right tour but wrong event. All I'm missing from my Biffy touring is a joint Puzzle/Only Revolutions in full. But I think the minute they do that they'll lose more interest in sales. Another reason why I think they do those small tours as well with one of the first 3 mixed with one of the next 3 is because it keeps a show with their most broadly favored two albums apart.

Interestingly I just spoke to a mate who was at the Bullet gig last night too and he said he could tell most people were there for Bullet mostly. I didn't see any big movement where I was before Bullet came on and I wasn't that far back.

There was far more people wearing Bullet merch compared to Trivium merch in Cardiff, though that could have been because it was in Wales.

Yeah I mean I think Trivium were lucky to get the co-headline tour part of the gig but nowhere except for Cardiff which would have been heavily on Bullets part was sold out. Trivium have never played a single arena gig in the UK until this joint gig and it'd be an extremely weak booking to put then above 3rd. They've never been that big in the UK. They haven't had certification on any album release in 18 years, that's 2008 and we are 6 albums later now.

Having just got back home from the london show i would agree that more people seemed to be there for bullet but then again i am also bias myself.

However i dont think either band quite have that pull to be close to headlining.

I thought as much as Birmingham was a fun time, the arena was just too big for them a bit and no, none of them are anywhere close to headlining. Without being on this particular album tour, Bullet shouldn't even be subbing really and then it's still in question. Two of 2024 subs on a weaker year currently outsell them easily in Limp Bizkit and Offspring who both sold out their latest arena tours very quick and one is charging similar to Bullet and the other £90. I don't know what RB really do these days. Bullet are likely subbing a band this year that should be subbing anyway.

I see no chance that they don't go for Maiden over Deftones if they are free. Both Korn and Limp Bizkit both had more dates to back them, LB the best option out of them all by a mile in my view also did Wembley Arena as well as Gunnersbury. I don't even see Deftones being offered it unless they are struggling but LB out of all them them are clearly the strongest option fir headline.

I think we are looking at sometime after the 14th February at a minimum.

With the Black Sabbath news today and it being a Live Nation event, I can't see them throwing out another announcement until after that. They know demand will be high so they might try and do a "missed out on tickets, come to Download instead thing".

f**king mental price that Black Sabbath/Ozzy thing. Was well up for it but once you add in transport and spending money you're into holiday/weekend festival sort of money without even staying the night.

Yeah I've got a hotel booked that I can see being cancelled fairly quick lol. There's no way I'm paying £250 for that to not even be close. I don't like the acts that much on there.

What day do we think Rise Against will be added after the see you in June self confirm last night. Be very surprised if it was Friday but I think only second stage sub would be an option to play that day as they are subbing Nova Rock on the Thursay. I think they'll sub second Saturday after doing 4th main stage last time.

Subbing second or fourth down, probably, yeah. They should stick them headlining the Avalanche tent because they’re always a bit dull on an outdoor stage. The tent might help the atmosphere a bit.

Yeah I must admit they were better in Birmingham Academy than on the main stage in 2022. Setlist wasn't the best either.

Would be very happy with this is it were the final lineup however seems like too many big names to still fit in FIR, Turnstile, Knocked Loose, Beartooth, IDLES, MIW. Think a few of them already have exclusives elsewhere and all are 3rd down/sub size/2nd headliner.
