It wasn't that jam packed in 2022 before Biffy Clyro to be honest as I popped over for most of here to stay and later for freak on a leash. I think I watched The Darkness mainly. But usually it's not whether a band are big enough to do it or not that comes up, it's whether a band are right for it or should be back again so soon headlining so that tells you how this one's hits on given their festival history too. Andre91
KoRn pulled a massive crowd in 2022.
NorthernSoul52
Aye, they'll do fine. Not the sexiest, not the most exciting, likely 75 minutes at a push - but they'll do fine.
RedJosh
My bold prediction is that day tickets for Sleep Token will be the first to go.

Hmmmm depends on capacity cap and how much they actually allocate to day tickets.

Audiorocker
Which bands have pulled the best crowds over the past 5 or 6 years beside the headliners?
NorthernSoul52
Now there's a question. I remember Whitesnake being busier than I expected one year.

Bluewolf
Just come on here for a butchers So I've seen on Reddit that a trusted source on here has revealed Sleep Token/Green Day/Korn as the headliners for Download 2025. Is this true or just fans spreading BS? Thanks muchly in advance
DomDom1984
Do Korn and Deftones do DL as a package deal or something?

DomDom1984
I don't think Deftones have the same level of history as Korn. Korn were the absolute kings at one point. Which is why I can easily buy them as a headliner.
NorthernSoul52
I might be too young to remember this, though Korn's pedigree in other spots around the globe would suggest it.

Ghost, Evanescence, Slayer, Korn, Limp Bizkit, all the 2023 subheadliners, Busted.
Andre91
Limp Bizkit this year pulled the biggest crowd I’ve ever seen at any festival I’ve been to. This was confirmed even more from a video circulating online of someone filming their crowd from the ferris wheel. Mental, mental crowd. The other biggest crowds I’ve seen at DL that spring to mind are both FFDP and SOAD in 2017.
northernangel
Yet Limp Bizkit weren't big enough to headline because of who else they pulled in after going through 21 bands. Whereas, Korn are because they need to save money for the bill as they've got a huge band in. Big enough vs can do the job needed. You would presume they are choosing to packer a better bill out after opting for Korn with Muse saying no. Pretty sure the subs at this point were Deftones, Avril and Korn. Andre91
The Gunnerbsury / Halifax etc. circuit seems to be working well. Bizkit played it, everyone went or saw the videos of it circulating online and then turned up to see them at DL. The same will happen for KoRn (although their crowd won’t be as big as Bizkit’s because, again, wow, that crowd). Bizkit will headline next time they play. Copping joined them on stage and then said as much afterwards. If getting a smaller, legacy band to headline means a more stacked undercard across the weekend, I’m good with that. Especially if it comes coupled with the booking of one of the festivals ‘white whale’ headliners such as Green Day. Download has changed tack over the last couple of years and, in the long run, will be better off for it.
Loek
Anyone has a clue if Lamb of God will finally come and do another european festival season? I remember seeing a rumour here that they were booked for 2024, so hoping they finally make it in 2025.

It would be even better if they bring Mastodon over too and they both perform those albums in full like they’ve been doing in the US.
