Download 2025

I think it’s more likely we’ll get Sleep Token headlining over Korn and I don’t think they’d get both as that’s too much of a risk unless they’re really struggling.

Sleep Token / Blink-182 or MCR / Iron Maiden

I don’t think co-headlines work at a single site festival. I think KoRn are comfortably bigger than Deftones over here too.

Thats fair. I think both could actually headline but I’d not be against Korn headlining outright and Deftones getting 75/80 minutes underneath.

It's 25K which is more than the O2 (which is 20k) and Downloads headliners logic is should be able to sell 2 nights at O2....Korn also doing smaller venues sure but point is they still pull in the fans and could deffo headline.

I'm not really a fan of Limp Bizkit but I would argue they should be headlining over AX7 and I wouldn't be surprised if they got a bigger crowd. Korn got a bigger crowd than Biffy in 2022.

I read that the capacity has been reduced from 25 to 20k. I find Limp Bizkot a bit of a novelty act, not that I dislike them but I really need something on the day to invest and with Sum 41 not far from announcing their final UK shows there isn't much in it. Corey solo isn't great and Hoobastank are probably the one for me lol. I'd be going home after Limp Bizkit so I need to find £100+ in shorter Limp Bizkit and Sum 41/Hoobastank and Corey lol.

I wouldn't be surprised of any proper Download sub like Korn getting a bigger crowd that Biffy Clyro at Download. I think all of main headliner, sub and maybe even 3rd, zippo headliner and sub with get a bigger crowd than Biffy will to headline.

Yungblud subbing Download over Glastonbury and Reading high options I dont see.  Also why are The Gaslight Anthem going to sub second stage whern they have the same slot at Trees that Don Broco do.Except for that it is probably not that far off but a lot of saved money. I'd stick Papa Roach in there as they are more than likely going to be about.

Reading or DL are as likely as each other, I think. I just think he’d be a great fit under Blink.

They might have the same slot at Trees but that doesn’t take away the fact that Broco play arenas and Gaslight don’t. Broco will have a new album out come 2025 so I think they will get a long overdue big slot at DL.

Papa Roach and Download must have some sort of problem because they haven’t played in a decade despite being around consistently.

To be fair, Gaslight Anthem played Wembley Arena last and BMTH played Download sub off the back off that. So on that basis there isn't that much difference. I don't believe Doc Broco was difficult getting tickets either. They are one for those who would sell a tour out if they did a few but spaced.

And yes I forget that about Papa Roach. As long as they play RAR if I go there I don't mind.

Letlive regrouping for a farewell tour next year. Not sure if they’re planning on festivals but if they are then Download will surely be all over that.

Would prefer to see them somewhere smaller like Outbreak or Trees but Download would be able to chuck more money at them.

ok, so billboard are saying that Linkin Park will reunite next year, with a female singer, and the article says explicitly about festivals

potential 2025 headliners?

If true deffo potential though Reading/Leeds would be all all over them too....and they'd be a cert for all the US feats so depends how it fits with them.

I can still see SOAD coming over for a few European dates. Maybe Linkin Park/SOAD/Iron Maiden as the 3? Korn, Deftones and Sleep Token as subs? Given this year is heavy on the pop punk maybe next year goes heavy on nu-metal?

My initial kneejerk reaction to a female vocalist was a bad one, but then I imagined Courtney LaPlante (Spiritbox) doing at and yeah that'd f**k.

I still think we'll see Ghost headline next year if they have a new album knocking about, and with all the Iron Maiden talk I can't help but think those two are the likeliest. Out of Sleepy T and Linkin Park, I think Download would try harder for LP, but Sleepy T wouldn't want to accept anything less than headline.

f**k knows. Give me Slayer headlining every day and I'll be there

Would rather them not come back without Chester tbh.

i think the same was the case with the prodigy tbh, obviously Chester was of more importance vocal wise than Keith but if they were to come back there would definitely be elements of what happens at prodigy shows at theirs, eg what happens now with Firestarter

Festivals are their best way to be honest to see how the reaction is before they do a tour themselves maybe and it not kinda bomb. I was a huge fan but I wouldn't spend out on their own tour given I saw them multiple times.

I can see a different direction from this year as I doubt it is selling as well as last year did. It is not your typical Download lineup.

I don't think Sleep Token get this gig if a reunited Linkin Park are doing it with a new singer. I reckon the above guess it a very good one. If SOAD are playing I'm Eurooe they will be booked it's that simple and Serj isn't someone given their booking rate that's ever said no to Download.

I would probably pick up a ticket on the side as those under bands would do nothing.

I think linkin park may be a big draw if they agree to do it. With guest vocalists obviously…I believe oli sykes did the honours once.

With them announcing their first UK tour and it including Wembley, I can definitely see Falling In Reverse getting a big slot next year as their first ever UK festival. Third down main or, more likely imo, Opus Stage headliner. I’m sure they pack a mean production.

APEX: Sleep Token / Deftones / Spiritbox / Motionless In White / Knocked Loose / Hot Milk / The Ghost Inside / Static Dress

OPUS: Don Broco / Turnstile / Poppy

AVALANCHE: Fightstar

DOGTOOTH: Napalm Death

APEX: My Chemical Romance / Avril Lavigne / Bad Omens / Black Veil Brides / The Interrupters / The Story So Far / nothing, nowhere. / Cassyette

OPUS: Killswitch Engage / Meshuggah / Lorna Shore

AVALANCHE: letlive.

DOGTOOTH: Sick Of It All

APEX: System Of A Down / Slayer / Gojira / Malevolence / Bury Tomorrow / Kittie / Loathe / Sylosis

OPUS: Falling In Reverse / Ice Nine Kills

AVALANCHE: Alkaline Trio

DOGTOOTH: Igorrr

I don’t think MCR will have anyone clashing with them.

I'm not sure SOAD will be back over here and I think Blink will follow Green Day to IOW allowing then to do their own outdoor show or such like on mainland that Download won't. I definitely don't see then doing Steal This Album in full.

I also agree I think Avril would sub, she's bigger right now than any 3rd down act, as in she will sell tickets tor her shows rather than do bigger shows that don't see out.
