Cure are well up for smaller gigs, weird venues etc. Also play non festival shows regular - strokes hardly ever do (roundhouse in 2020 the only remotely recent one here)

 

Strokes visit the UK for a festival headline slot payday (or two) every few years while they aren't scrapping with eachother.

 

Your right on the first bit though - no way are they main headliner now.

Yeah like The Strokes did Lytham didn't they? It's not a massive gig in capacity or anything but they went where money was.

I know they did All Points East twice. Their 2019 set was decent, if hindered by the sound system being shite.

So according to a reliable leaker Foo Fighters are planning a South American tour in the second half of 2025, I wouldn't rule them out completely now.

I think that's just regular and VIP. Haven't seen an indication they'll be introducing one of those cash grabs.

 

In saying that, I have yet to see a price. They don't have an active Reddit with someone whose managed to see it, plus Ticketmaster and SeeTickets are yet to lift the curtain on it. At least until a pre-sale tomorrow.

Looks realistic, that. Although I do think they’ll put someone a bit more rocky third down on an LP day if there is one.
