Fantastic news.   The Cribs were the first band I ever saw at Glastonbury, back in 2007. Haven’t seen them since so happy they’ve playing Woodsies. 

Agree, but I guess it's all about balance and context, isn't it? Booking 2 Fender-sized, younger headliners still leaves enough room (3-4 slots) for some more familiar headliners.   It feels like a bigger deal than it is just because right now Sam is 50% of the lineup 🙂

I didn't realise Elton and Billy Joel did shows together tbf. But the public falling out after they finished their co-tours in 2010 hints good mates isn't quite the phrase to use anymore.  

‘‘Twas a heck of a day. Even if The National played to a small, disinterested crowd. Had Mark Thomas doing a set about his book walking the Israel-Palestine barrier in the morning too followed by Daniel Sloss and Tom Stade.    Come to think of it, that was a brilliant day.

Until the Tinderbox announcement, I thought that the possibility of them doing this was increasing. But yeah, it's gone in the bin now.
