I'd say Enter Shikari are more popular and relevant than Prodigy with the current market.

I get Prodigy WERE bigger in the grand scheme of their career, but their last hit was over 20 years ago, and their prime was almost 30 years ago.

But to counter my own point, those of us early 90s babies who had Enter Shikari as a soundtrack to our mop haired youth are now dying off at festivals, and our joints ache to much so we just want to find a nice seat at the main stage, or family friendly R1 stage.

Prodigy are still big enough to do arenas and headline the second stage of festivals, Shikari have never reachef that level. Saw Prodigy on their 23 tour and at Leeds this year, both times you had every age range from teenager to 50s there. Really can't see Shikari being like that, their fanbase must all be 20/30s primarily

I’m 26, my friends and I know plenty of The Prodigy but only one or two ES songs. Not saying I speak for everyone my age bracket but the Prodigy definitely trickled down to teens in the 2010s, potentially from parents clinging to their youth.

Invaders Must Die was a huge album in the electronic dance scene of 2009/2010 and had a profound impact on EDM, not too dissimilar to the impact of their 90s albums. I think that is more of a reason for their longevity than parents passing the music down

All of the big beat acts from the 90s have managed to keep getting new fans - i agree with what you said about the crowd for the Prodigy. I don't think any other genre of acts has such a mixed crowd (age wise at least)

Chems have always been similar, same with fatboy. Bet underworld is similar too because of trainspotting although i'm yet to see them

Yeah in fairness, this is the album me and friends listen to the most, came out at just the right time for us.

They were very lucky in the sense they had two periods of success and big selling albums in different decades, in the 90s and then again in the late 2000s/early 2010s. Not many artists have that, adds a lot of cross generational appeal

Hopefully there's a third - i absolutely love the sound but there's no new artists and an album from one of the main acts once a year at best!

Since it was announced I've got back into him and I hate it. And now I'm in the shower and the songs playing through my head.

You virtually gone insane
