Jesus Christ what is with all the Travis hate on this forum. He’s one of the biggest headliner they’ve booked in ages  and his performances are amazing. Some of you guys need to open your minds up to other music haha

Not saying it’s a poor or weak booking, he’s just not my cup of tea. He’s obviously massive but never cared for him outside of Antidote. This is coming from someone that enjoys rap as well, not some Reading traditionalist.

All I’m saying is I hope there’s something more to my taste on at the same time.

interesting suggestions here - Scouting for Girls, Ting Tings ... Biffy are to poppy so will probably headline a tent.

A good one though, @Andre91 these haven't appeared in your predictions lately

I thought it would happen around that time 😂 I remember being adamant in about 2014 that The Vaccines would be headlining by the time they next played.

A big criticism of mine is FR not putting on decent alternatives to the headliners, or even when they close other stages early. Wombats opposite Fred Again last year was perfect. Prodigy against Blink was not.

I've thought Reading was about to be a post-rock festival for a while tbf where guitar acts become less frequent. Thought we might have been a few years from that but apparently not.

Line up ain't out yet. Glass half full. Have faith. I've heard rumours metalica stepping in for foods. Haha fair point tho if theirs no legacy this year. But that shot will sell

This is one thing Glasto does very well. The two times I went there was ample alternatives if I didn’t fancy the headliner.

Think I saw Father John Misty/Alt J instead of Foos. Metronomy instead of Ed Sheeran. Tame Impala instead of  Stormzy.

Whereas at Reading 2016 I remember feeling a bit stuck for options if we didn’t fancy the headliners, luckily I loved all 3 of the major ones.

Travis will cause mini earthquake. I think download and the other rock fests more your cup of lean now people. Tickets need sold and hardly any body touring. They can't pull rage out their anus. There will be guitar there. Stop stressing. Or gan to a rock fest. But yeh I agree lol would never have seen chilli's, muse, bring me, foo fighters, panic, korn, shikari, snoots, Clyro, kasabian, or kings of Leon if leeds didn't have a legacy rock bands and current I'm into new zeitgeist n stuff. Riding the curve. But leeds needs a dam good rock metal pit day. Na meeen. See what lineup says. Imagine we might only have chapel Roan correct from full thread lol think travis is there tho. Was a hint on a tik tok. A song title in the caption. Very subtle supposedly

16 hours. I think kings of Leon be there. Posty. Capel Roan. Travis Scott. Maybe charli xcx cause of zeitgeist and big album of year. I think minus charli. The other 3 must be considered favourites.  So we all screwed lol cos if we going by this thread. Nobody knows sh*t right ? Somebody tell us. Somebody knows. Lol

That’s why I want to do at least one glasto, there’s only been a couple of times I’ve gone back to the tent early at Leeds if I didn’t fancy the headliner, Fender being one, but it’s a good opportunity to just have some cans and chill out.

It’s got 100x worse since 2016

Well about 3x as bad on certain days. 2 less stages than used to have and they close half of the rest of them at 9:15pm

I think we can only go by who touring August. But if somebody knows. Nows ya time to shine. I pride myself of knowing the line up before radio 1. You guys are letting the team down this year. Come on golden goose. Drop ya egg. We will send you our spirit gods to power your year

Wasn’t specifically at you, but he’s arguably the second biggest rapper in the world right now. He’s just sold out multiple stadium shows (something which rappers do not do every day, including people like Eminem and Drake) and he’s known for being a great performer, unlike some of the previous rappers they’ve had recently.

Personally, I cannot wait and think a lot of people need to give him a chance and actually watch him live before commentating on having him at reading.
