I know I said earlier that I doubt we will get anything pre-Sempiternal but I guess it would be cool for them to chuck in a song they played during their set when they first played the festival in 2008 which is why I’ve gone for Chelsea Smile. I’ve gone with Blessed With A Curse because it’s been years since they played it and it’s pure fantasy. 
 

I really hope they take Follow You out of the set and leave Antivist off (maybe the worst song I think they’ve ever made, fwiw).

Some great additions but some are lower than they would be in reality and acts like Alessi Rose have already confirmed they are on mainstage but theres definitely chance for some of them you mentioned

Excuse my ignorance, but (truly) asking for a friend. Is that for headliners? Four this year as opposed to the recent trend of having six? Or are two more expected to be announced?

They've moved away from the 2 main stages and, as many predicted, it looks like this has meant a slow walk back from from six "headliners".

Now they just need to bring back one of the secondary small tents and the value proposition will be similar to the pre 2021 days.

Apparently the organiser of Hellfest in France said Muse were offered as a deal to pick up shows Foo Fighters were originally going to do in 2025 but have pulled out of due to their decision to instead go on hiatus.

 

So if Foos were linked with appearing at R&L '25 but pulled out, who might be the stand-in?

Travis was rumoured for ages

 

Hozier / Chappell also were - and like Foos wouldn't need a co so its got to be BMTH

 

Its not like it would be BMTH / Foos / Hozier - Chappell

 

I guess could have been Foos - Chappell / BMTH / Travis but seems unlikely to me!

I’d say Travis more likely, someone as big as Foos pulling out means lots of extra funds that can go into an exclusive like Travis.

if Kendrick allegedly got paid 8 million in 2018 id think he's going to be about that or higher

Definitely BMTH. It doesn't match like for like but it's probably the closest.

What do you think of the rest of the Reading & Leeds line-up? You’re one of the biggest bands in the world, but you’re also the only band headlining? 
 

“It’s all a bit beyond me now. I’m proper out of touch with what kids are listening to. It’s scary for us if I think about it. We still feel like the underdog and I’m constantly looking out thinking, ‘Is anyone going to come and see our band?’ It’s not Download, and it feels a bit more like each day of the line-up is aimed at a different type of listener. I have no idea if that’s a good thing or a bad thing, but R&L must know what they’re doing. I hope there will be more rock bands and artists from our scene on our day just to put my pessimistic mind at ease!” 
 

Fulfil the wish of your headline act, R&L. Stick some bands on their day.

It is such an odd day as well for BMTH to get put on, I get Shikari are on it but but it just looks like they've been pulled in as a gap needs filling.

Fulfil the wish of your headline act, R&L. Stick some bands on their day. 

Give them some say and let them cook. I know FR won’t do that, but it would do neither R&L no good at all if they don’t top that day up with more bands. Wunderhorse and Royel Otis are decent but the indie crowd don’t half look down on anyone even remotely metal.

I don’t feel it throws the baby out with the bathwater. I don’t even think it looks dissimilar to a normal R&L Main Stage lineup these days.
