As a reminder, for 2024 they dropped 3 more big names (Prodigy / 21 Savage / Jorja Smith) 6 days after the initial reveal

This reveal is a month later than last year though so who knows whats going to happen

Remember that 2 headliners dropped out though (Foo Fighters and Central Cee).

It was BMTH | Travis Scott | Foo Fighters

With (unbooked) | Central Cee | Chappel Roan & Hosier

This is news from my mate out in Doha...

Foos dropped out and Chappel got jumped up. Central Cee was then left limbo where they had 3 headliners and him with Hosier the glorified 3rd leftover. He wanted headline, they offered 2nd. He pulled out.

The whole two Main Stages and 6 headliners thing was such a massive failed experiment. A period we will look back on and scratch our heads at in years to come.

It was an interesting idea but yeah, they do seem to have been quick enough to can it.

I think there's a universe where it could've worked given I'd seen it at both Mad Cool & Lollapalooza Paris and thought it was quite smooth but the way they did it didn't really work. It is what it is.

Where have they said that?

From kerrangs article

"Speaking about their return to the fests, Enter Shikari say, “It’ll be great to be back at Reading & Leeds for 2025. We’ve got a long history with the festival, having first played in 2007. We’ve set records for the amount of crowd surfers over the barrier, and the amount of sets played over the weekend, so it’s awesome that we’ll be back again playing our highest ever slot on the bill. Right now, it’s looking like these will be our only UK shows of 2025, so we’ll have to make them count. We’ll be like uncaged animals by then.”

I really thought they'd got Eminem

Same, gutted they haven't but a few acts I'd like to see and just have to wait for an Eminem tour at this stage I think.

Intrigued to see more acts in the weeks and months to come so I can start planning properly.

Not everyone will agree but I think for the price the lineup is pretty shocking and a sign of how far the festival has fallen.

The undercard is diabolical for a festival of such stature - you can easily see better undercards at fractions of the price (see Superstruct).

and then the headliners! A couple of them wouldn’t have even subheadlined even 5 years ago!

I do struggle to understand what people see in the lineup other than a huge waste of money.
