This is exactly why I wait until the week before to get a resale ticket, mine was £195 this year, wild that people will buy them full price pre-announcement.

I'm not sure where the incentive is to buying them right now especially as theres was a Loyalty presale that has gotten you a pretty healthy discount the past 2 years.

Why is it that the talk of Charli XCX has dropped off? Was it Glasto? Would still love to see her

pretty much tbh, i still think she is very likely but everyone seems to have unanimously agreed shes going glasto, when tbh she could still be going😂

She went from being posted daily in here to completely unmentioned and without any real reason as for why.

EDIT: She is playing Primavera early summer so that might be why but given she splits her time pretty equally between the US and UK I cant see that being an ultimate dealbreaker.

I’ve qualified for the better loyalty incentive the last two years and not bothered with it, I’ll always take my chances bargain hunting at the end. Also helps to know if my mates are going because the lineups are making it harder and harder to justify the cost personally.

I get people like you waiting but for people who turn down that incentive and then later buy full priced tickets (especially before lineup) makes absolutely no sense to me.

I remember when it was £220 with early entry standard. There was a good graphic on Twitter recently which showed how if the price of pints and other concessions at the football had increased at the same rate as tickets since the 90s a pint would cost like £15. It’s insane.

Oh yeah 100% the prices are crazy now. Things were creeping up already precovid but post covid the pricing had gone INSANE for any sort of live experiences. Very hard to find a £35/40 ticket for any arena sized act which was the average for what i was paying in 2018/19

When I heard Chappel and Hozier, I heard they were co-headlining. I initially just took that to mean they were 2 of the 6 but starting to think they may be on the same day and Chappel is one of the top 3 tbh.

I wouldn't mind that to be honest

Are Muse not in the running? Announced a festival date next year for Europe today.

Its a June festival, most likely for Download probably. Even if not I would imagine they are on the early European circuit not late summer

But the main stage doesnt have to be just commercially viable acts, yes they have to be known but they also love to champion the critically acclaimed artists. We saw much more of that in 2024 than recent years and could see that continuing.

Her live performances are good and she is becoming more recognised because of the song she has on the new Coldplay record, I cant see why Simz couldnt get a high placement on mainstage

She had a high placement last time.

There’s no chance she headlines though at the moment, no chance in hell

With Green Day Linkin Park and Foo Fighters ruled out, I'm really glad I didn't buy an early bird loyalty ticket as i have no interest in the names mentioned on this thread. I'm sure it will appeal to 16-21 year olds though doesn't sound like it is going to be a line up aimed at the many over 30s that attend the festival.
