Resale Groups Thread

Bumping this as the resale nerves are seriously starting to kick in now. I’m desperate to get my partner and I tickets for this year, as he was subjected to some bs with his work last year where his manager said he couldn’t have the annual leave after we got the tickets and then changed their mind with two weeks to go saying he could go (he’d given up the ticket by then). Keen to take part in any quid pro quo arrangement for resale groups/trying for others or anything that could help. Has anyone kept their eyes peeled for anything about the host file trick? Had a look on Discord and there was talk about it being patched, which would make sense but I suppose it was a high risk-high reward strategy to start out with. Some of our wider syndicate got them using that trick (it was another group who got it on their behalf) back in the general sale.

And the fix has been implemented in such a way that anyone who does try to bypass the load balancer (regardless of whether they're connecting to an approved server or one that's not intended for use) will appear to connect to the site, but will always get a "busy" page. I've just double checked this now, and it still applies.

This tracks with what I experienced when I was having a tinker around the other day - it just loads the endless countdown timer of doom. I think if purgatory is real, that is the form it takes on this earth.

No just the main resale.  Going with my mate who’s a single dad so can’t risk the bus times etc…

 

Wasnt going to go but the last couple of weeks have made me realise I really need to try.  Fingers crossed but sure there’s lots in the same boat
