We were there for a lot of FBS but had to leave before the wings as we had to get up for work at 5am. What time did the wings appear?

After Fatboy Slim's official set finished at 11.30pm he introduced the Whadjuk Noongar nation who performed their opening ceremony, during which the wings 'grew'. The rep managed to work the phrase 'right here, right now' into his speech as an indication that FBS would be back to play it - with the wings in full motion 😁. Amazing moment.

We went on Friday night for Haai b2b with Ki/Ki which was brilliant followed by Amelie Lens. We were just to the side under the Dragonfly and the sound was fantastic. Actually preferred it to the spider, they've done a really good job with it. We were going to go back on Saturday but wasn't a fan of whatever the music was before Eric Prydz plus it was a lot more rammed so sacked it off

Must have been following you - we were also there on Friday for both those sets and also in roughly the same position! 😂

I haven't clicked on the links,  but hopefully the move is nowhere near the Farm! Let's GO, Dragonfly v2.0.

Ben

They haven't elaborated but if it was on the move to the farm, it would be about 6 months early so we can probably rule that out.

It's too cold for anything in the UK I think, and it doesn't really give off Winter Wonderland/Christmas market vibes, so my guess is she's off partying in Bangkok or somewhere else in Asia for New Year.

So the spider is off to Mexico for their holidays then.

So is the dragonfly definitely here to stay for 2025? do love the fly but would love to see the spider return again one day. Would be cool if they alternate each year

Its a permanent replacement yep. The spider may come back eventually you never know, but the dragonfly will be on the farm for a good few glastos before any change

I’d very much imagine that the dragonfly stays and gets slowly upgraded each year … I think the crane was a longer project 8 years maybe …. And the spider is very much used for touring I don’t see it returning

The Dragonfly is exclusive to Glastonbury and I doubt you'll see The Spider on the farm again - it's grown legs!

The Afterburner is now resident at Valley Festival.

The Crane.. well, we watched it get ripped apart by heavy plant right in front of our eyes (webcam) 🙂

Yeah Dragon fly year 1 was a good start no way they think its finished - probably won't see its final form until after the fallow year - bet they have been tinkering away in the last 6 months with some improvements.

You will probably always have the option of catching the Spider again just wear you go to see it -  Personally i think id only really be interested if they were to bring back the Spectacular show.

image.thumb.png.171b17dfd77ea6e34667cd74d6a2eec2.pngTier pricing on this is mad, never seen anything like it...

Tier 1 double early bird, Tier 2 50% more than Tier 1!!

I'd be up for going if it came to the UK again, I am sure it will eventually.

Considering it was retired at glasto for the spider, I think it would be a bit of a backwards step.

They already use some of the fire lanterns from it in the tow & hitch.
