haha geek behaviour types usually have several interests that they are passionate about.

we discovered this when someone on efests started talking rollercoasters and some of us outed ourselves as fellow enthusiasts!

Any got any thoughts what the dragonfly will be like? In my head its the sea king supported by 4 "small" legs, then two massive wings going out over the crowd with a tonne of light on each one. I suppose the DJ booth will probably be in the sea king cockpit. Wonder if we can expect the cranes with acrobats on the end like pre covid spider.

I think the wings will be lasers/lights not part of the physical structure. They will move to give the illusion of flight.

This a guess based on the images I've seen.

Technically Dragon Flies have 6 legs.....  but the Spider plainly had 4 so not judging on that point lol

Is the laser wings thing just from that AI image from the Vodafone App? Or do photos of the build suggest this also?

I think there will be actual wings of some sort, maybe lightweight, maybe metal. Possibly a canvas material that will be projected on to, using protection mapping.  That’s the reason for the beefed up wider sound towers around their field, which are similar to the ones at the pyramid.

I was thinking that it would be feasible to have lasers on the empty rotor assembly spinning around.

that would make it quite helicoptery but the helicopter is transitioning into a dragonfly!

Pondlife geek here 😁 - this is a lovely Common Darter hatched from my garden pond - so I hope they don't forget the elongated abdomen that's usually twice the length of the head + thorax. Perhaps it could be an exit chute for the djs!

Respecting your Geekness and adding to it.

Loving the choice of dragon fly less obvious than a spider. But still an impressive creature. I Believe David Atenborough described them as the insect version of a heleco.....  well actually he said fighter jet. But still impressive
