We went there last year in the afternoon for some beans on toast for the kids. Was great sat on the top deck, very quiet and a really nice breeze -
First Big Thief show of the year, headlining some U.S festival. Played almost entirely new unreleased material other than Masterpiece, Not and Dragon Mountain. I’m really hoping they don’t do this at Green Man. A headline slot is not the place to road test unreleased material at all and I can see myself seeing the OSees if this appears to be the case. I’m sure the songs will be great but this sorta thing irks me, I really like getting into an artist’s material before I see them and I’ve had their last few albums on non stop lately.

Loads of people missed out on tickets to the tour, if you had her headlining on a UK festival exclusive, I'm certain a good amount of tickets would shift.  Also, I know it wasn't you who said it Benj, but headlining the R1 stage is a ridiculous shout, that would be one of the most dangerous bookings (from a crowd safety pov) they could possibly do! Between now and the festival she is only going to get bigger, and will no doubt have a few more hits. Obviously streaming figures don't equate to sales (always), but she is 8th in the world at the moment, on 82m monthly listeners, with London having 1.4m of those. She is already getting festival headline slots across the pond, not sure why she wouldn't here when she is equally as popular.Â
