There is a method for if you lose your ticket, which involved going to the box office for some checks, after which you would be able to come and go without a photo check. -

I don’t think your average Glasto-goer is anymore obsessed with the headliners than regular attendees of other festivals. That said, given the not-inconsiderable outlay to attend these events, it certainly is a factor. I’m sure most Glasto attendees would rather a kick-ass bunch of headliners than not, even if publicly they may not admit it. And if you go every year without paying for the privilege then you’ll undoubtedly have a different viewpoint -
Back to Werchter after having missed last year's edition, I had less expectations than before regarding the fest, but ended up having a really good time, mainly because I stopped treating this as a "run everywhere to see everything" fest and more a nice vacation with friends and great shows. A few points: 1) In terms of crowd, it definitely feels like it's getting more and more crowded with each edition. 2) The Barn and Klub-C setup with an opening at the back at first frustrated me because of the light of day inside during the day meaning less atmosphere, but it really is a good solution to the problem of red crosses, and I was happy to be able to see Snow Patrol from outside with this. This also means much more people in the zone near Barn and Klub C than before, which felt a bit weird as this often was my "chill" spot. 3) The Slope's stage upgrade (I haven't been there in 2 years) has been really good, as the stage now gets very decent acts + the entire space is really fun, however I really miss the fact that we could chill and lay down on the actual slope as it was the case 2 years ago when it was not facing the stage, while it basically now is a big set of stairs where we are forced to stand during acts. 4) Food prices indeed are ridiculous but people are still paying, so that's only gonna get worse sadly. 5) The organisation in general is still top notch, and I haven't been to a festival that matches it so far. Now for a list of favorites show in random order: Slowdive, Loyle Carner, Parcels, Idles, Benjamin Clementine, PJ Harvey, Bombay Bicycle Club, Declan McKenna, Archive, The Blaze, Marc Rebillet, Sampha, Dua Lipa (the last 30minutes I caught at least) Don't know when I'll be back to Werchter., but I know i will at some pt, so for now let's enjoy the "prediction and trying to guess the lineup" season. Hope you all had a wondeful weekend.

Yep, if it was a journalist or a clever sting by Mendip District Council, I'd applaud it and wouldn't think twice about the dodgy security/stewards who got caught out. (I would still feel a bit bad for some of the guys who'd have been in trouble, e.g. the guy checking the wrist-band at the Gate and the guy who let them into that boutique camping spot - they were probably just harassed volunteers folding in the face of a persistent blagger rather than actually being out to rip off the festival.) However, as 'glimmers of hope' says above, these are the worst type of influencers, doing whatever it takes for clicks. Go and have a look at their YouTube channel - even just a quick scan of the thumbnails tells you everything you need to know about them, but watching some of their 'night out in Benidorm' type videos is pretty sickening. A mainstream media channel would have known to sack these lot off a long time ago, but social media is the wild west where all the Jimmy Savile 'hiding in plain sight' merchants can just carry on plying their trade. Even if they've never actually sexually assaulted any of the wrecked females they seek out, they will still have ruined the lives of a lot of unfortunates who had a bit too much one night and ran into these creeps ready and waiting with their camera.
