From what I can tell, looks like a big Labour win that no one could have imagined back in 2019....but that caveated by some losses that will give those on the left something to build on...and by the rise of Reform which I think could spell trouble ahead for the country as a whole.

But Starmer is PM, he has a big mandate, and now Labour needs to deliver.

Well done Labour - but low turnout is not good for anyone and a winning margin like this on potentially under 40% of the vote shows how broken the system is. Hate Farage as I do at least his voice will be broadcast far and wide demanding electoral change (trying to find something positive in Reform getting MP's.

 

I look forward to next week when the work starts - I sincerely hope it is at pace with some big things put in place.

14 years - Austerity, Brexit, Lining their pockets and partying while the country lived with lockdown, lies and corruption - you got exactly what you deserved!!!

Greens won N Herefordshire...so could be on for 3 seats.

with turnout...it was a weird election. Labour poll lead so high and talk of supermajorities probably led to many voting for smaller parties or independents or not to bother.

Brecon etc was 'thanks' to reform taking over 6000 votes - who knew there were so many racists living in my area!!!

There will be strong calls for PR after this. Reform predicted to get nearly double the Lib Dems voter share (nearly 1 in 5 votes) but 48 fewer seats.

The leader of the Scottish Tories, Douglas Ross, has lost his seat by 900 votes. I think he resigned his Holyrood seat before the election to contest the Westminster seat, bet he's regretting that now.

...and can't find anything about the remaining 9 reform seats the exit poll was predicting - are they going to have to settle for their 4 or are there some more coming up?

My seat flipped back to Labour as predicted. 

My parents seat had a boundary change stayed Tory.

 

But having been awake ALL night, my friend is now a Lib Dem MP. Absolutely stoked for her. Amazing journey having only got into politics 2 years ago.

Amazing how many seats the lib dems have got, came close to the official opposition if the reform vote had been a bit stronger.
