They're going to need to build some new houses for all the prisoners getting released. Stick them in Waveney Valley I reckon.

Could you not build a block of houses in the base of each Pylon?

Reform mostly funded by a Muslim,

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/article/2024/jul/11/nigel-farage-stirs-tensions-in-reform-uk-as-he-ousts-deputies?CMP=Share_AndroidApp_Other

it's like the Bristol greens being funded by a tax avoider. Or a previous green leader being outted as an active NIMBY.

ok, predictions for 2029. I reckon Labour win with a 63 majority and Green gain another seat in some rural tory nimby sh*t hole and Reform gain loads of seats in sh*tty red wall land and Tories continue to be lost.

Prediction for 2029 - it will be in 2028.

Hope they can bring the price down …. Was quoted a price that it would have taken more than 10 years to repay . Not really much point if I plan on moving . Parents got them recently though but are staying put until nursing homes etc happen

Prices of solar can, and should, be far lower, but sadly for this sort of product the western world has decided that China selling them cheap is unnacceptable and thus stuck huge tariff on them. Everything else China sells cheap that we don't need is tariff free and filling our landfill sites but decent green tech at prices people can afford - can't be having that!

Why are our governments blocking a route where these things can be cheaper and thus affordable for normal people?

We can't be having cheap energy that doesn't generate money for the government no matter how green it is...

Seems to be at least a change to the renewables on wind at least . Interesting to see what comes over the hill . Seems absolutely sensible to have them on buildings that already exist rather than farmland . Although I guess that kind of scale is much cheaper and quicker to do

Surely it does it just gets spent differently and puts more in people’s pockets than energy companies and shareholders
