steviewevie
I reckon Cleverly is the candidate that labour would be the most worried about winning. Maybe he isn't the sharpest, but definitely the most normal and relatable.
steviewevie
Badenoch is like Corbyn, the real deal, and Jenrick is like Starmer, pretending to win over a rabid membership.

I think they would be happy if Jenrick wins as he isn’t charismatic either and probably wouldn’t extend support beyond the base.
steviewevie
seeing as there's not much going in the news at the moment it's not surprising that the focus is on the PM paying back for his Taylor Swift tickets.
steviewevie Posted yesterday at 08:31 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 08:31 AM Bump to keep the much more significant discussion of Starmer's Taylor Swift tickets above What do you play your music on.
steviewevie
Just when the conversation might have moved on they somehow manage to get everyone talking about freebies again. Impressive.

I'm pretty sure you're just making a joke-react to the topics getting unpinned, but just a reminder to everyone that topic bumping is against the community guidelines Edited 22 hours ago by kaosmark2
steviewevie
Ok. UK politics RIP. Until Starmer is forced to resign in a few weeks.

One thing I find really funny about Starmer's "lack of personality" and "inability to connect" - which I agree with - is he just sounds as absolutely stilted and passionless when talking about football as Cameron/Sunak did - who couldn't even remember what teams they "support". And this is despite Starmer actually being a ginormous football fan who genuinely loves the game.

I don't know about these ones specifically, but in most of them they actively want to be in the UK. You obviously have the idiots nostalgic for the days of empire headbanging on about this, but while I have no beliefs that we should be trying to be all imperial about them, I also don't think these things should just be negotiated between states like this has - without some sort of referendum or decision from the people who actually live there. steviewevie
Boris Johnson's economic and social policies weren't actually that bad...levelling up, putting up taxes to pay for health and social care, keen on building infrastructure, pro immigration. Just a shame about all the other stuff.
