Same.

Genuinely incredible the new and awful ways that people  work out to be c**ts to each other.

Having said that, is it actually a thing or is it a thing that some people think is a thing. If you see what I mean.

Yeah, like racism.

Just joking 🏳️

Yep U.K debt starting to look very dodgy. Well above Liz Truss now on yield.

One of the money week writers thinks a 1960's style sterling devalution is incoming.

We now seem to be in a multi party PR like parliamentary system but still with a FPTP voting system...and the real big winners since the election are Reform. Greens not making any gains, they need a single leader, and someone who catches the mood...which is maybe impossible because the mood is not progressive left liberal green, the mood is anti establishment anti migration anti woke anti green conspiracy riddled social media fueled bile..and Farage is the only human like leader despite Ed Davey's desperate attempts to be that fun guy...but at same time Farage is a Trump/Orban fan c**t and this could be his undoing...or project him to PM depending how things play out.

Not much to be cheerful about really, when we really need to coalesce around fighting climate change...just have to hope science saves us.

also...one of my new year's resolution is to stop following the news and caring about any of this sh*t...so maybe I'll go a bit quiet on here which I know will be devastating news for you all.

Or I'll break it like I break all of them and keep boozing and keep posting into the void.

Not a New Years' resolution, but a thing I've been doing for my own mental health since August is to stop following the news too closely. It's a large part of why I'm not really posting/reading here as much. I've deactivated my twitter account, I'm looking at news less, I've removed all social media from my phone, and I'm trying to spend more time looking/thinking about things I can impact/control, not just depressing news that I can't do anything about.

Also, the "polls" side I just don't care about when an election is 4 years away. It's not news, it's just attempting to sport-ify politics. Instead I've started watching actual sport a bit more where I can disconnect from it the next day.
