Back when eFestivals was owned and run by Neil, quite a lot of "rival" festival news sites/forums, eg. virtual/strictly were blocked links. In the case of the discord, we'd discussed this with Iggy, and the direct block has been removed for discord servers in general because the internet is in a very different place to how it was 15+ years ago. However, for this specific discord, several members there have decided to directly target eFestivals to grow that platform including trying to be disruptive to moderators here, and it is because of that culture that we won't permit public links. agreed reply -
You should probably google "business relief for inheritance tax". In short - unless they've got wind of upcoming (and what would have to be very fundamental) rule changes in the budget, and are doing this to get ahead of that, this is very unlikely to be tax avoidance / evasion - as (under the current rules) the shares being transferred would be eligible for 100% relief for inheritance tax (ie not pay it).
