My guesses: 2026: Deftones, Iron Maiden, Ghost 2027: Bad Omens, System Of A Down, Parkway Drive 2028: Biffy Clyro, My Chemical Romance, Limp Bizkit 2029: Spiritbox, Metallica, Bring Me The Horizon I want to fit Linkin Park in there somewhere. I could see it being them just as much as Maiden next year. It’ll be one or the other, I think.

Hopefully they bag her. Her material is only on my periphery at the moment, but I've heard enough to know I'd like to hear more. -

After years of them being stuck on the same revolving roster of like 6 headliners it finally seems like the door has opened up and there are quite a lot of possibilities for the next few years. Ghost, Deftones, Linkin Park, MCR, Blink, Bad Omens… as well as old standards. Undoubtedly the undercards will remain a bit stale, but at least it (hopefully) isn’t just gonna be Slipknot up top every other year. -
Hmmm I think Muse for 2026, depending on how heavy they get, then stadiums in '27.

You're not going to get any strong subs from this point on, you'll get weaker one's but nothing you think to yourself they could headline. Kinda applies to both and while I agree with the headline pattern of the band, I think ST has shown enough over socials that a band just selling tickets on their own tours does not just translate to a festival crowd. On current form, its definitely going to be consistently weaker. Gojira subbing Ghost I feel would be a mistake, need a stronger sub and by that I just mean a band that would be considered a sub and not actually a potential 3rd. But both Saturday and Sunday this year has shown you those weak sub options and one is in a case of being under someone who's sold a lot but just might not be Download headliner point popular. While another is under a band that Download regulars would be happy to be booked every year or literally every other because it's what they like, they know and they go for. You could probably repeat one of the popular Download lineups completely again and it would sell fine as it's an area in music that's niche with a much lesser broader crossover. I didn't think Ghost would still have as many tickets left in Nottingham as they did with a tour starting in less than two months time. They will headline but I think they need more than 1 big headliner or the festival just accepts from this point much lower sales on a consistent basis but with that will comes weaker undercards overall.
