If the stars align for Justice Friday then absolutely. I imagine Coldplay will have a 2 hour set so should give me a good hour+ to get away from the Pyramid and over to Holts to continue the boogie.

I would suspect Pulp draw a bigger crowd as less competition on other stages as sub.

Stevie Nicks is also a supersub. Pulp, Stevie, Dave and one of the The Killers / KoL / Green Day doing a Churnups and the SZA booking will go down a lot more smoothly.

Problem with a Churnups slot is that we won't have it billed until nearer the time. Impact will be on initial bill, where SZA will stick out as a surprise after all the Madonna/Stevie Wonder chat.

Always helps, true. But Pulp also one of those artists with what some may call "Glastonbury heritage".

Am I the only one who really hopes there isn't a "Churnups-type" slot this year? I really think the set last year was a one off and will be glad to not have it being constantly mentioned in future years.

Of course there will be secret sets etc but it isn't going to become an annual thing where a headline level act plays during the day in the pyramid (under alias or not)

Oh, gosh, I've been barking up the wrong tree then. Honestly thought Shania was third and we were working on the assumption Stevie Nicks was the Legends Slot.

I think after seeing Foos and the coverage they received last year they’ll have a taker on the Churnups slot this year. Considering they seem to be doing away with the huge secret sets on small stages, having one on the Pyramid seems like the perfect way to continue having them without them becoming a safety concern, whilst still being able to have smaller secret sets like Hozier and Astley + Blossoms on those small stages. 

It might not end up being a year-on-year thing, but if they get a headliner sized act asking or agreeing to play in a lower slot then they’ve now got the perfect way to make sure everybody on site can get to see them.

But there’s been headline/very sized bands/acts doing secret sets for years and they’ve basically said Pyramid or not happening now.

Love me some LCD Soundsystem, but really depends on the level we're wanting from a sub. We seem to be at the stage where you're either booking arena acts or Alexandra Palace sell-outs, to which I don't believe LCD Soundsystem fit the bill.

But then obviously, other arena acts - see, Rick Astley - will play well lower on the bill.

Yeah, I concur. Foo Fighters obviously jumped at the chance to play as they kicked off the post-Hawkins era, and I think they're a very credible shout to headline next year too - and as a cheap(ish) option too.

Likewise, think we'll see a few former headliners fancying it. The Killers feels so blindingly obvious with their dates and recent festival history, but that's probably oversaturation if they do.

I don't think that's up for debate.  No reunion hype, multiple shows since and only one largely ignored new track.
