Avalon_Fields
Listening to one of the Pilton Stage competition winners, Sam Evans, dare I say it, if you like Coldplay this one’s for you (Is he Chris Martin’s brother I wonder?).

Supported The National at Ally Pally last year FFO Phoebe Bridgers. - Bar Italia - released debut last year I think. Post punk indie - FFO Fontaines DC/Idles - NewDad - I think they they have one album and some ep's - dream pop/Indie - FFO big thief, lush, wolf alice - Mannequin Pussy - new album was out a couple of weeks ago. Punky but then also shoegazy as well. FFO Idles, Ride - Barry can't swim - Debut album was out last year. sort of "lofi" Dance music, in a similar vibe to Fred again. FFO Fred Again -Alvvays - On about album 3 I think. Jangly indie pop FFO c86 bands I know lot's of indie there but I do listen to a lot of indie 🙂 also, I know people like Squid have been around a while but they are great post punk indie and Lankum was one of the albums of last year, dark folk I guess. I know I bang on about Nia Archives a bit but she really is fantastic. Jungle music very 90's influenced. Soccer Mommy I found alright, will listen to more of Alvvays. My find was Nia Archives. Not what I'd usually go for but it's not a vibe I'm apposed to

Watergirl
Listening to Black Pumas right now. Very nice. I love how the Glastonbury line up gets me to listen to stuff I might otherwise not come across, like Gabriels previously.
gherkin8r
Had a good listen to black pumas and enjoyed. Also really like Brittany Howards first album but not so much her latest effort. Went back and had a good listen to Alabama shakes too this weekend while painting. Had always been on my radar as something I liked but had never properly listened to. Absolutely brilliant. nikkic
Yeah Black Pumas for me too. It’s like if Anderson Paak and Michael Kiwanuka had a love child, in musical form.

CharlotteB
I already liked Soccer Mommy, but I appreciate her even more after the poster dropped. She's gone from "yeah, I might drop by" to "will definitely go see".
Chip Batch
Nothing really but it's helped me rule a few out 😄 There's plenty I like so far anyway.

4AssedMonkey
Heilung are a definite for me now. The YouTube vids of them live has really sold it. Like The Hu last year, it's so far outside anything I've ever seen. Black Pumas clearly popular and rightly so. Some strong similarities with Alabama Shakes/Brittany Howard, although I agree her latest album isn't a patch on the earlier one.
Nuthugger
really looking forward to melissa vandella. she has an amazing voice and everyone should know her name
GordonMcG
Having had a couple of weeks now to dig into some of the acts I hadn't listened much too, here are five tracks I'm buzzing to (hopefully) hear this year: Blondshell - Sepsis NewDad - White Ribbons Alvvays - Marry Me Archie LCD Soundsystem - All My Friends Kenya Grace - Only In My Mind
snailcheeks
Black pumas mainly due to everyone writing their name on this page.
mouserat
Lots of stuff which I've been meaning to check out for ages and this lineup will finally nudge me to do so (Soccer Mommy, Mannequin Pussy, Sofia Kourtesis, Noname, Alvvays). So far the big new ones for me have been Lankum and Blondshell.
Meerkat
+1 for Mannequin Pussy, great find! Half way through the album and would recommend them for those in to Wolf Alice’s slightly heavier stuff
DJL
Like many others have said Black Pumas and Kenya Grace. Barry can’t swim wasn’t an act I discovered, as I had listened to him when he was last year’s line-up, but I had completely missed the fact he had a very good/well received album out which I’ve been loving too. For all the criticism of the line-up I am yet to have a year where I don’t love the playlist I make out of it to fit my taste.
