Faithless

I think this forum might be over egging the popularity of a maxi jazz less faithless amongst anyone under the age of 35.

it will surely be in effect a “soundsystem” style thing which is a glorifed dj set with vocals and visuals.

Not denying it will be busy but i dont know if worse than example who appeals to a much younger audience and has actually charted multiple times in the last 20 years, unlike faithless

Thing is, there's a lot of people over 35 at Glastonbury.

Was a very specific point relating to Glade over crowding in the local Council de-brief report last year. There is no way they will put a “Headline” act there on Thursday.

“Crowd Safety
3.1
Assess Glade crossroads to reduce crowds staying on the railway line to view acts at
the Glade stage. The congregation of people at Glade Crossroads increases the crowd
densities in this area, which is a natural walkway from getting from the South West side
of the festival to the South East, when there is a band playing at the Glade stage and
the audience backs up onto the railway line and the path offers and vantage viewing
point to stand and listen to the act.”

The pull of an act lots of people have heard of at a time when people are looking for some vibe, any kind of vibe is nuts.

Not a hope in hell they would be playing the Glade on Thursday. Hopefully GFL have learnt from the problems in previous years re Thursday overcrowding. It will be totally irresponsible if they to play there on Thursday. Only thought is a Thursday Pyramid first, still will be totally rammed as not a lot else going on and the punters will be well up for it, especially it being Faithless. Noone bigger has played Thursday from memory, if they are indeed playing thursday

Glade have retweeted it, must be there.Screenshot_20240314_192839_X.thumb.jpg.9c2ffb2e8379faae526fee9756a080a1.jpg

if they're on in the glade, they'll be disappointed to hear that dreadzone played it as a live band last year, so they're not the first.

Surely this is a sign that there will be a much expanded Thursday night programme across a load of smaller stages? Seems inconceivable that they would be making such a big noise about this so far out if it was a normal Thursday night programme

I stand corrected. Must be doing something to alleviate the crowding…
