An uber would cost a far bigger fortune. Get the bus from stansted to save money. Then a train from london bridge isnt a lot.

Hey man, might be worth fare splitting if you can. Get a Stansted - Liverpool Street ticket, use your bank card to get to London Bridge/Victoria/Kings Cross and then get a train direct from there

Even cheaper is bank card from Liverpool St to East Croydon and then train. Most Brighton trains from London stop at East Croydon. But overall the saving from splitting is not huge compared to the cost of Stansted-Brighton.

For future reference London Gatwick is convenient for Brighton and a much cheaper train fare. I am close to Stansted, the journey to Brighton by rail or road is long.

Thanks for all answers, when I was looking into the train from Google maps, it was like 90£ one way, excluding the bus, and the travel time set to 3h

And the Uber was like 110£ and under 2 hours.

We did this booking under influence in the middle of the night Haha

One way seems to be £48 on trainline.

Cheaper still going to Cambridge and getting train direct from there - I selected Wednesday and a single was £24.

A cab would not be cheaper or quicker unfortunately

Oh thanks going to look into that? U got any link to the website?

£48 is Stansted to Brighton

£24 was Cambridge to Brighton - you'd need to get to Cambridge on that route - about £7 - all per person

Seems like you're wedded to a taxi - don't let me stop you - but I would get the train or if being economical a bus to Victoria and a train from there or East Croydon.

I personally use Trainline but https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/ has all the train times (but will tell you the full price, trainline or trainsplit app will be cheaper)

Thanks for your help, trainline on the way home, but uber on the way down, touching ground at 15, and just want to go to the hotel! 🙂

Otherwise, anyone on here wanna make 100£ stanstead - Brighton 😁😊
