Queue's for lockups Sunday Midnight

Does anyone have experience of what the queues are like at the lockups late on Sunday evening?

We need to leave the festival after the last main bands on Sunday night to get to the airport for a Monday 7am flight. We have booked and early Monday morning coach from the festival but was wondering if we packed our stuff up early Sunday and left it at the Gate A lockups, what is the Lockup Queue like Sunday around midnight? Would it be minutes or hours in the queue at this time.

Thanks

Allan

It shouldn't be too bad.  They staff them appropriately at peak times like that.  If you want to be safe, you could leave your headliner 10 minutes before the end though.

The Gate A lockup queue can easily go past an hour around that time. I've been caught in it before and would suggest avoiding it.

The ones further from the gate shouldn't be as bad.

There are lockups near woodsies which would be on your route and hopefully a bit quieter

2 lots near Woodsies … one set just along from San remo second on the path as you go into woods from pyramid side

I put cans of beer in on the first day, in a few different lock ups

Kept in the shade, pick them up over the next few days

That's a fantastic idea actually.

What do people keep in the lock ups? I never really have anything valuable with me that I don't keep on my person (I understand passports).

Someone had cake on a plate one year.

Bikes and trailers , beer , hats , power banks , rucksack when not in use , keys .

We put all our bags, tents etc in the lock up as we had a 4am return coach on Monday morning. I'd say the queue Sunday afternoon was a lot slower than picking everything up around 2am on Monday morning. We used the lock up sandwiched between Oxlyers and Silver Hayes.

That's a time saver. Are there any official limits to the size of things you can store, then? Trailers are quite bulky.

Bikes and trailers they’ve taken for many years at different ones … also seen people putting sat trucks in them . They just get passed under the tables at the front

As others have said they take some quite big bulky items. We had no issues with rucksacks, tents etc.

I'm making plans to utilise these lock ups now after reading this thread 😅

Honestly really good . Minimal wait and always a good chat when handing stuff in and collecting. Free but donation to the charity that’s running the individual one welcomed .
