What are the chances for an announcement this afternoon ? I seem to remember Fridays being the day for the first drop. Not sure if they give us the heads up first ??

I’d say very little chance.  Although the app/website have been updated last yeah they mentioned about the first lineup with the FF clue.

What does the bottom sentence mean? Does it make them more likely for RW?

Sorry it was a question.

Do they will only play Stadium or wil they play a mix between Stadium and Festivals (like Muse did in 2023).

I start to think they are too big for Festivals, maybe a special event day like Bruce or Harry Styles at Werchter.

The new drummer of LP speaks about different festivals in Germany. Difficult to say if he speaks about Rock Am Ring + Rock Im Park or other festivals like Southside maybe. I guess we'll have the tour announced in November around the release of the new album. But the band will probably be everywhere and do an intense tour. From Rock Am Ring to Nos Alive with HellfestRock WerchterNovaRockMad Cool and some stadiums like Stade de France in Paris. Wait and see.

I don´t think they are too big for festivals. They headlined Werchter in 2017 and that was with the original singer. I am not so sure they have grown in popularity since then.

I think Rock Werchter are going to grab Green Day, Linkin Park, Billie Eilish, The Cure, Olivia Rodrigo and Pearl Jam as bands topping the bill.

We know that both The Cure and Pearl Jam can share a line. If they can get close to 2017 that'd be ace.

Green Day, Jack White

Linkin Park, Billie Eilish

The Cure, Olivia Rodrigo

Pearl Jam, OATW

I may be looking way too strong here.

That’s really strange as I’d literally just come to post the same and again was going to say, probably too strong:

Green Day / Jack White
FredAgain / Sam Fender
Billie Eilish / OATW
Linkin Park / Nick Cave

Haha. I really don't see how they don't have PJ on the anniversary and the gap for The Cure is just fine. I don't see a Fred and Fender top two.

My ideal would be:

Green Day/Jack/LP/Billie/The Cure as the toppers taking out Olivia as tipping it over. I'd be happy to drop Jack to include Olivia. Fred might do a closing dj set but I don't see him playing with just Fender below. I think Amelie Lens will play the barn similar to Charlotte de Whitte last year.

Either way I can't see how getting 4 of those 5 acts can't persuade me to go finally. I also think there is a chance for Blink as last time they played it was only 3rd down so they could pick 2nd under Green Day and Jack under LP.

Indeed and I strongly believe they’ll be at RW. I think there is some over-enthusiasm atm in many people due to their come-back (and that’s normal) that may make them look “bigger” but after a year of touring that will probably fade away. Unless they release a new Meteora somehow…

Btw, speaking of 2017…I still remember the change in vibe when they came out after 1h+ of the whole meadow shaking during SOAD. Imo, big mistake at the time from the organisers to place them after SOAD, especially with the more “Pop” approach they had taken with their latest album. I remember being disappointed and talking with my friends about how much of a downer that was, even laughing when they were trying to provoke reactions from the crowd after every song. And then, a couple of weeks later, the news about Chester came out…😔

It's the same thing that Oasis. Don't think there'll be less demand on their live show in the futur.

Oasis wasn't really big in US in the end of 2000 (indoor 20 000 Arena), now they sold out Stadium.

There's a lot of demand for live show right now for Big artiste. Everybody want to go to this kind of concert (Coldplay, Oasis, Taylor Swift, Imagine Dragons,...).

Everybody had some doubt about ID to sell out their show and everything was sold out in few hours apart Werchter Boutique.

I think on paper that 3 was just a bonafide dream but in reality it didn't work as needed. LPs peak was by far gone then and their output was far from their best. I'd have gave SOAD sub. Obviously Blink were also considered very ropey at the time.

I guess we’ll soon see, tbf I guess it’s all just educated guesswork at the moment.  For me, based on who’s around and the rumours the ones I’d really like are:

Linkin Park, Eminem, The Cure, Blink 182

Then those I’m happy with but I’ve seen before/recently:

Green Day, FredAgain, Sam Fender, Jack White, Olivia Rodrigo

Those I don’t care about:

Billie Eilish + OATW
