Who are your top five acts to see right now?

As we know the vast majority of who is playing, I thought it would be interesting to see what's on everyone's lists as acts they really want to see. I've only included live bands/artists as there will be so much dance stuff for me at night, but go for your life.

My top five atm are, alphabetically:

Alvvays

BC Camplight

Billie Marten

Flyte

SPRINTS

Whatcha got?

It's a big headliner year for me this year.  Jungle and The National are big highlights and my son is going to meet up with me to watch Coldplay, which is going to be the first time I've caught a headliner with him since 2013 so that makes the Saturday night a bit more special.  From the undercard it's got to be PJ Harvey and Arlo Parks I'm most looking forward to.

That's a damn fine selection.  Particularly looking forward to Billy, Baxter and the Bobs myself.

Hard to pick 5, but I guess these are all must sees for me...in alphabetical order...

Coldplay (haven't seen them since they headlined in 2011 and shockingly they've released more albums since than they did before!).

Fontaines DC (pulling on the green jersey!)

PJ Harvey (missed her last time she played in Dublin as I was away)

The Breeders (again, haven't seen them in forever)

The Go! Team (Thunder, Lightning, Strike was on heavy rotation back in the day, haven't seen them in 15+ years...a TLS 20th anniversary tour seems like the perfect opportunity to rectify that!)

Loads of others, but I've seen many of them recently, will likely see them again, but won't miss any of the above.

Top 5 without thinking too much otherwise I'll do myself a mischief...

Nia Archives

Sprints

LCD Soundsystem

Confidence Man

Idles

An alternative answer could have been "anyone but Keane"

I'm spoilt for choice but also totally indifferent if I'm honest.

Five places I will almost certainly be.

1. Idles (with my son)

2. Haai b2b Serosee (with my son)

3. The Breeders (with my daughter)

4. Skream & Benga (for me)

5. Justice (group finale)

Plenty of others on the wishlist, just waiting for times to drop now....

It's tough to make the five but I reckon mine are:

LCD

Shania

Janelle Monae

Grace Petrie

And a curveball for the fifth: whatever Russell Crowe's Garden Party ends up being

Yard Act would make the five but wife's not a fan so I'll catch them at Forwards instead.

Right now, but subject to change

1) Idles probably (over Fontaines - a real shame there)

2) Little Simz

3) Lambrini Girls

4) Baxter Dury

5 Noname

It looks like loads of daytime and evening clashes Friday and Saturday for me. No Saturday headliner though.

Justice

Dua Lipa

Bloc Party

Confidence Man

Shania Twain

hopefully can make them all - bit worried about this potential bloc party / kasabian clash but the others should be all good!

1. Sugababes - solid hour of only bangers

2. LCD Soundsystem - All My Friends SOTF

3. Justice - incredible way to end the weekend

4. Mannequin Pussy - gonna mosh the Saturday morning hangover away

5. Avril Lavigne - if my voice isn’t already f**ked come Sunday then it will be come the end of I’m With You

The Avril / Janelle Monae clash is a right shame.

Definitely the big annoying as f**k clash of the year for me, especially after never having managed to see Janelle. Avril easy win though, if only because I’d never actually pay to go see her at one of her own shows.

3 brilliant headliners this year, but slim pickings outside headliner time for me (complete opposite to the last 2 years)

1. Justice - have watched the 2017 set numerous times and will be very happy if it even comes close to matching it

2. Coldplay - They were brilliant at Wembley 2 years ago and can't wait to see them headline the Pyramid

3. Dua Lipa - I reckon she will smash it.  New album is growing on me - some of it will really add to her set

4. NewDad - absolutely love them - great Irish band

5. Avril Lavigne - I'm With You will be a moment

Jessie Ware would be one of my top 5, but loses out to a terrible Sat night clash
