Sunday night final dance

Does anyone have any Sunday night rituals to close out the weekend, post headliner?

 

Way back when it used to be the Crows Nest for us. 2022 we went to a bar near West Holts and it was absolutely bouncing, my favourite Sunday night to date. We went back last year expecting the same, and it was dead - ended on a whimper.

 

I'm keen to investigate somewhere else (not SE corner) to go out in style this year, if anyone has any hidden gems? 👀

We had a 5.30am coach home in 2022 so stayed up all night, wound up at The Glade > Arcadia > Stonebridge bar.....that did us until we started heading towards PGA to get our bags out of the lock up around 4.15am.

Sunday close is all about Felix Dickinson on Genosys for me... happy to have the news this year will be the same again!

Used to be Ultimate Power in WG, have a short clip of me and eldest 2 daughters enjoying Purple Rain, which turned out to be the last ever song played in the tent I think.

 

was a good buzz at the Casbah or whatever it’s now called last Sunday, we left earlyish (130am) but it looked set to keep going.

We just wander round the site from strummerville to Woodsies, dipping in and out any venue that catches our attention.

My thing was always to bounce around a few places then head up to the stone circle, sit back have a final smoke and a drink and wait for the sun to come up, then head back to my tent. It always felt like a nice way to say goodbye for another year. The older I get the harder it is to make it all the way to sun-up hahaha
