Have spent increasing amounts of time in Tea Tent over the years. Love it.

Great cake & coffee & despite a bit of sound bleed from Meadow stage it still provides an intimate venue.

Hopeful for a Fruitbat re-appearance.

No sound bleed from Meadow now it is in it's new place nearer the Woodland. This year it was great.

Yup sounds about right... Now where's the Sounds from the dance tent?

It really will be Magical when we hear them........................ every day that goes by makes me thin k this more and more................. and a reply to a FB question about Comedy adds to that, they said 'this year it was in CODA' no need to say 'this year' unless changes are a foot.

Utterly baseless speculation but.. Given how much stronger (and therefore, potentially more expensive) the rest of the lineup is, could they have decided to do without a dedicated Dance tent this year?

It could be fairly dead during the day, and while it got busy at night they could have Meadow pulling double-duty for that.

Personally it would be a huge loss to the event, although there is smidgens of dance across the site, without a dedicated dance tent, it's a step backwards.

Am confident there is something coming....

They would lose so many regular ticket buyers if they did.

I have no doubt there will be something and more and more convinced a return is on the cards.

The Lottery Winners it is.

Clue for tomorrow:

"You don’t have to go too far a distance from Catton Park to find great music…"

Hadley End is not far down the road, he (Tony Hadley) would be a great singalong addition

Not seen or heard of Eighty Eight Miles.

Clue for tomorrow

""We're circling in on the end of our advent calendar, but there's still some concluding to do…""

Round and Round we go.................. til we get to the End(ings) who are a band from Telford.

PS I noticed earlier that the website of another festival that grew from something former BT has gone.................. Another reason for me to think an old friend is retiurning.

Just booked tickets for the wife and I to our first ever Bearded Theory next year! Very excited.

As it’s our first time I thought I’d try and pick your collective brains regarding tips and advice on things like recommended arrival time, best camping spots, any festival specifics I need to be aware of, any quirky rules, policies regards bringing your one food and drink, security procedures etc.

It's small enough that you can just play the camping spots by ear. Just be aware that the closer you are to the arena entrance and especially the magic teapot, the louder it's likely to be after hours.

After you've picked Wednesday/Thursday, the only arrival note is that both of the bridges over the River Trent are currently problematic, so you'll need to plan a route with that in mind. As with most festivals it's best to arrive as early as you can while keeping your travel plans sensible. Most people are probably going to be mid to late afternoon.

In terms of rules etc, assume the best.

You're in for a treat!

No rules really, don't be a d*ck... That's about it! Very chilled vibe.  Own food and drink welcome but vendors and bar are varied and reasonable so worth supporting. Wristbands on entry, wristbands to get in from the camper fields, no particularly strict security in the past.  Have fun!

As others have said it really is chilled with few rules. Bring own booze and food is fine and booze into the arena too is fine but obviuously support the traders and bars too.

All camping is close, 10 mins walk, maybe 15 to Gibbs. They have sections like Family, quiet etc but there really is no difference between them but stay away from the Magic Teapot if you like sleep.

Bring warm stuff for the night - it gets cold. Sometimes very cold.

Don't bring any glass!

Don't be a d*ck!

Thats it regarding rules really. Flat site, relatively easy to get around (assuming the weather plays ball of course), friendly chilled vibe.

Its a belter!
