Does anyone ever take a bike to the Festival to get from the Campervan fields?

yes,  but trying to ride the bike around is difficult, randomly moving crowds don't make for easy cycling. and its a horrible hill back up to the cv fields.

It'd an absolutely nightmare, you'd stop every 5 yards for people in the day time.

 

Also riding back up that hill must be horrific.

A reasonable idea is to drop it in a lockup just inside the gate

The east campervan field has got some very chunky ankle breaking stone on some of the paths, so would make riding a bike tricky in some places. They also have stewards stopping you from going down the hill directly, sending you into a narrow lane to the left which is always fairly chocca block with people, so a bike would be pointless in that part. If you can evade the stewards and fly straight down the hill on our bike it would be fun though.
