Sticklinch parking

I’ve noticed the car park is much smaller this year. I fear this is due to the introduction of the holt camp site. No parking tickets are available on the website.

Will more become available or will you be able purchase with cash on arrival ?

No parking tickets have been available for at least 6 weeks - and this includes when loads of returned tents went on sale two weeks ago - and See are unhelpful about it, suggesting you park in the west carpark ... which takes away a lot of the benefits of Sticklinch.

In past years the Sticklinch guide has said you can pay cash for parking on the gate, so we are hoping it says the same. Though that only gets emailed a week before....

Also hoping Sticklinch themselves will be more helpful generally but again they don't come to life until much closer to the event.

I don’t think more will become available to be honest. Some people have said you can pay on the day but like you say, the car park is a lot smaller this year due to the Holt Farm campsite so I don’t think they will have additional capacity for those that haven’t pre-booked.

I checked every day after the resales for one to become available with no success and See Tickets just advised that Id have to park in the nearest Public Parking available on arrival. Not so bad if you manage to get in Orange and near Gate D but you could end up in Pink which is miles away! Defeated the point of staying there in my opinion so I cancelled on the last day I was able to and booked Holt Farm instead.

This is what the old guide says.

Parking tickets have always sold out in previous years too.

I'm hoping they have just sold fewer parking tickets in advance this year but will still sell them on the gate. Otherwise it's ruined all our plans.

Fair to say it will be a poor state of affairs if we can't park close to our tents, which cost over £1k, cos they've taken some of the space for a new camp site.

I think the situation is here is that whoever owns the part of the land that the car parking for Sticklinch was on last year, has this year agreed to rent it to the people running the Holt Farm glamping option.

Although I do agree, if people can't purchase parking next to Sticklinch that defeats the purpose of why a lot of people book it in the first place!

I blame Holt Farm

It's quite clearly the reason. They better have some kind of contingency so you don't have to park absolutely miles away. I can't arrive on the Wednesday this year.

Just had an email from Sticklinch. NO parking passes available on the gate this year. What an absolute farce.

Can you share some of the email, obvs removing all personal details, just wondering if they have suggested anything else. Was the email from the WorthyView email address etc...

It was from Glastonbury (Sticklinch email address), not See. And this is all they said.

"I was notified yesterday that the parking vouchers for Sticklinch carpark have indeed sold out and are not going to be available 'on the gate'. You should be recieving a welcome email with more details about what to expect in the next few days."

Thanks. Assumed as much. Guess we need to wait for that email with the confirmation and what they are going to tell people to do

to be clear, had the passes sold out when you booked the sticklinch tent originally?

No. Plans had to changed a couple of months ago due to work which means I now have to drive. But they were not back on sale for the resale points, so there's going to be a lot of people in this position.

The car park passes have been sold out for a long time (the map shows the car park is significantly smaller this year while Sticklinch is the same size).

There is going to be a lot of very frustrated people about this stance. Will be interesting to see if the Festival come up with an alternative solution that does not just point people towards Pink/Orange.

I think it will also put a lot of people off from booking SL next year. I am already thinking about using Holt Farm if a/ I get a ticket and b/ it does not get stupidly expensive.

Holt Farm actually looks great value.

So what is the potential workaround here? get there early and head for Orange or any alternative suggestions. How busy does orange get? how far is it form Sticklinch entrance (How many questions 😂).. seems pointless staying here.. parking was the one stress removal. Wished i had looked at Holt Farm, loved Sticklinch for ease getting in and out of festival didnt look at anything else... and ease of parking.. wished i had read the small print.... only just read it now... would of taken Worthy View 😂

I'd like them to tell us sooner rather than later.

Probably the best scenario is an overspill in orange parking, which isn't too far to get to Sticklinch. How they would manage that, who knows, because Sticklinch is less than half full on Wednesdays and most people arrive on the Thursday.

That's an absolute joke if that's the case, one of the big draws to these pre erected camps is not having to lug all your kit 3 miles across farmland.

I'd be pissed if I was in Sticklinch - which I very nearly was but bagged a WV tent.

obviously its a massive f**k up from the fest, but I've no idea how so many people buy tents without a parking ticket? thats the main draw so bag them together

any groups should simply drive to sticklinch, drop their gear then 1 person head off to park, no different to a taxi.
