Primavera Sound 2025

Yet The Cure did play some festivals in 2023 where they had no control over the prices. We also have to consider that the 2022/2023 arena tour was basically the tour for the forthcoming album since 5 new tracks were played regularly. So a festival tour seems more likely, as there's no guarantee they could sell out another arena tour again so soon.

This is true regarding the festivals. I'm just wondering if the TM experience of 2023 has influenced their future decisions regarding it. I'm merely speculating. I think we'll ultimately know the answer around 1st November as I imagine any live plans will be announced on the week of the album launch. I do think they definitely have an arena show draw. it'll be three years since 2022 and off the back of a new album and press, it'll sell well.

Jonny Greenwood interview…

Tbf, there were no plans to tour for the following year in October 2015 apparently according to Jonny's Twitter. And then they went onto do loads of festivals that year so he could just be blagging. However I do reckon it's probably 2026

Max cooper could be in

or in sonar

just announced his 2025 dates

no Spain.

He was on the lineup for Sónar 2022, so it would be strange for him to come back in 2025 again, considering there are so many artists out there... so it’s more likely that he’ll perform at Primavera someday, maybe closing the Cupra stage with a live/AV show.

Perhaps the cure are in? I asked this account where the source was from and they didnt say it was the bogus twitter account from before but a source from Germany that also heard BKS, Werchter but nothing else.

Maybe so, however I mentioned this in the dm and they said it wasn't taken from that account (they said they only started following them today)

Fingers crossed as I’d like them at Werchter

And if Cure were in the PS lineup and 2 weeks ago they were canceled I fear that the time for the lineup will be long, they have to look for another headliner to replace them...

I imagine this interview was taken a fair bit of time in advance so I wouldn't worry

It was reported at the beginning of September that Roger O’Donnell has cancer so I guess it was something to do with that

he's had cancer since 2023 when he cancelled the Primavera South American shows.

The recent reports were very outdated from news sources. He's on the mend now I think ❤️

That’s good news, fingers crossed it’s nothing too bad for him and he'll fully recover soon
