Stepping away for the Euro's a sec the following clip seems to be gettting traction on twitter confirming that there does seem to be some sort of power struggle going on currently regarding the rules which wasn't there before the attempted breakaway.

Certainly it's not exactly helping with fans of non-big six clubs and their opinions that the big six are ruining the Premier League for everyone else judging by various comments I've seen on this.

Well, yesterday had it's curios. Italy were dreadful against Switzerland while that one-two punch of a technically correct offside and technically correct handball was cruel on Denmark in the Dortmund slip-and-slide.

Onward to seeing England try later huh.

I'd felt from about the 65th minute that England weren't going to score and they really did their best to prove me right.

And yet, here we are. Quarter finals for a 4th tournament in a row - something England have never actually done before - without ever actually looking that good in this edition. Take it I guess.

I put £10 on after 75 minutes as I was so convinced England would score, didn’t think they would leave it that late, but top class players like Bellingham can do these things when it matters.

Another dreadful England game to watch. Compare to Spain v Georgia which has been entertaining from start to finish of the first half.

I reckon one of the defenders will definitely change!

Two if Trippier is injured and can't play against the Swiss. Was apparently touch-and-go even for Slovakia so might not be out of the question that he'll be an absentee.

Wonder if the lesser spotted Luke Shaw might now finally be fit... long shot perhaps.

With Euro 2024 kicking off on Friday, it feels like the perfect time to dive into some football predictions! Even though the Premier League fixtures won't be released until June 18th, why not get a head start?

So, any brave souls out there with an early prediction for the next Premier League season? And what about Euro 2024? Personally, I'm leaning towards France or Portugal taking the crown, but my pre-tournament predictions are often off the mark.

What are your thoughts? Let's hear your predictions and see who gets it right!

France have conceded 1 in 4 games, it seems early to be writing them off.

1 in 5 now.

Not that their game against Portugal was worth it. Barring a brief flurry of chances around the hour mark, it was pretty sleep-inducing.

Almost tempted to hope Spain beat France on Tuesday if only because France genuinely feel too boring to be worthy champions.

A France v England match could be very hard work for the viewer.

It's weird too given that France v England at the Qatar World Cup was a good game, one that England should've won but for Kane sending a penalty to space and France just getting the timing of their goals spot on.

This time, both feel like worse versions of their teams in 2022 and like you say, if it is the final, I can't say it'll be a classic.

I think the quality of football on show has been absolutely dire! I haven't watched every game but I can only remember one or two games that could be described as exciting. Spain have been the best of a bad bunch but they're a long way short of being a 'great' team.
