Great game last night, Bradley's tackle on Mbappe cheered nearly as loudly as a goal.

Very nervous for Sunday still, though obviously not as much as I would have been a few weeks ago.

it was magical....happened right in front off me . The first half the ref kept getting conned by all the diving and play acting but fair play he must have watched the replays at half time and second half he wised up to all the play acting

I'm unsure, Liverpool have been getting away with it so far this season.

Could be very tight this season, wouldn't rule out someone like Chelsea winning it.

City certainly have it to reel in one team.

I've read your comments for years but cant be bothered replying until now .why such hatred for Liverpool supporters ?

I was raised in the 80s. 😃

Plus they are all frauds, don't hear a peep from them unless they are going for a title. From 1990 until klopp, quiet. Last season not a peep, that's all of them.

Disclaimer my best man was a Liverpool fan.

You've won 1 title in 35 years, that's on a par with Leicester City and Blackburn.

Normally teams go on to win titles in phases over a continued period of time when everything just clicks and then can have a barren spell. Yeah we've only won 1 title in 35 years but it doesn't stop me supporting my club week in week out.

Liverpool must be due a bad run then. 😁

Hopefully for you they grab another title in the next 35....

I hope so because I'll be dead if I have to wait that long again 🤣

Mad game at West Ham.

Certainly sounded more entertaining than a genuinely poor Newcastle display at Crystal Palace where we had one shot in the whole game and conceded an injury time equaliser.

After that is Liverpool on Wednesday and then a trip to Brentford, who somewhat curiously have the Premier League's best home record. Oh goodie.

I support English football's great underachievers that last won a major trophy in 1969 and of late has had a lot of people reclassifying that honour as a minor one, stretching the dry streak back to 1955. Comes with the territory.

I'd argue winning the Championship feels like a major honour now in a way it didn't really used to given how intense that division gets but apparently not.

Stretching it a bit now.

Bit like mourinho calling the community shield a trophy.

You would fully expect Everton in the bottom 3 on Boxing Day, nasty run in December.

As I write this, Everton are 4-0 down at Old Trafford. With this sequence round the corner - yikes. If they can't beat Wolves on Wednesday, that could be major trouble.

Yeah I know, I know.

I make the point given it feels intense to be involved in that division and the avalanche of games is quite something to wade through. Hell, Newcastle's two recent campaigns may have only been single season instant returns as league champions, but they were both so f**king stressful. Especially the last time given we lost 10 games and Brighton, Huddersfield and Reading really pushed us close.

But I'm aware that by default, a second tier isn't the same lucre as winning the FA Cup. I'm not going to pretend it has the same prestige.

Villas bubble well and truly burst.

Same problem we had in the Champions League last season - squad just doesn't seem big enough. But I thought that might be possible this season with the CL being 8 games rather than 6.

Less sure on what our excuse is with no European football this year given ourselves and Villa are in the bottom half and level on points.

Not that either of us or indeed anyone really looks in the title chase. Liverpool now 9 points clear of Arsenal and 11 ahead of Man City. There's still 25 games to go, so there's still time for them to choke, but it doesn't exactly look like a gap that's about to be closed any time soon. Well unless Liverpool have an injury crisis, which tbf, they did last season.
