I totally agree. They broadcast all this amazing music live. Then you can watch it for another 30 days on YouTube but only if you’re in the UK (vpn shenanigans aside) After that the BBC just sit on all this amazing footage and do absolutely nothing with it, and to what end? It’s never made any sense to me.
thats where you could def put into question if Fred could sell 100k at Wembley then. I mean the Coliseum and the Rose Bowl are just old format stadiums. Most modern ones have multiple levels and entrances and you can stop that sort of thing from happening. But anyway, he released the Afterlife footage from the Coliseum now. I wonder if the full show is going to go up soon. Everyone invited to this performance had tickets to his first La show at The Roxy back in 2021.
I did this on one of the days between Christmas and NY (my favourite new albums pictured).
A belated response but I am not a great fan of NYE (too much reflection on top of festering on the days between Christmas and NY when I have too much time to think). But was at friends and coincidentally took a few cans of Brothers cider and the Coldplay set came on their TV after the fireworks etc. I was ready for home/bed at midnight as had stayed in Mcr the night before for the football with too little sleep. But we were half watching the set with friends asking what it was like and it cheered me up reflecting on how great a week we'd had. My wife not one for showing too much emotion said how she'd had a tear or two at Paul Heaton and I reflected on that Fri dream of LCD Soundsystem and Fontaines DC.
