NYC Downlow's new entry system

hey gang! quick question for those who've queued before - I'm thinking of going down at 10pm Saturday when doors open...to get the entry / wristband to go later on 3am-ish....I know its hard to say, but are the queues really long when doors open?

 

I just want to try and avoid as much queuing as possible lol

Also, I have some friends working as crew - do you know if crew can by-pass the queue? I'm guessing not, but just thought I'd check...

 

Any advice/info would be super helpful! :)) X

There's been a security guy at the cut-through from Maceos (crew bar) to the Downlow every time I've been - so if they're Block 9 crew specifically they'll be able to get through as far as I know, but otherwise you're out of luck I think.

Yeah, I was explicitly told its not allowed. Probably depends on security/ how ballsy you are though. Some security have no clue what bands are what....

It used to unofficially open on Wednesday for a few hours, with short queues, though not sure if this is still the case. 

Can confirm I went on the Wednesday last year and it was open! Went about 11/11:30 ish and only queued for 20mins.
