kemosabe
Tbf, I think you'd pay about that in any major city these days. Let alone somewhere like London

Alvoram
The shocker is the Diet Coke... Gone are the days of carrying spirits and buying cold soft drinks to save money... Costs you much more now than buying pints... £3 for a half!!!
theciderviking
This years “per unit” calculation, Burrow Hill being the cheapest option if you want to get pissed without breaking the bank! 🍻

al_coholic
Both the Brooklyn Lager and Brooklyn Stonewall Inn IPA watered down from the high street product, and yet still stupidly expensive.

I was at an Aussie festival a lot of years ago and that wasn’t hugely worse price wise than a decent bar in a city centre, but you could only drink it in a marked alcohol zone and couldn’t take it in front of a stage. Snuck in a bottle of rum, obvs, I’m not an idiot!

Beer cost is pretty consistent across most fests here btw. Edited June 23 by Suprefan

balti-pie
Heineken silver is a 4% ‘more accessible option’ they’ve made - sounds fairly dreadful, but any port in a storm I guess. Coors is absolutely undrinkable slop, I wouldn’t clean my sink out with that 😁Blue moon FTW by default! US$19 is £15 btw, for interested parties. Sobriety seems a hell of a lot more appealing all of a sudden

Makes £6.50 for a pint of cider a bit more palatable

LeFreak
Is there much variety of pints available throughout the festival or will most bars just stock the Brooklyn Lager and Brothers Cider?
CaledonianGonzo
There's some variation, but what's been posted from the Village Inn seems fairly standard.
balti-pie
I could get behind $19 pints if it was knock your bollocks off excellent stuff - I’m thinking Heady topper, Pliny the Elder type 10% monsters - proper decent bang for my (many) bucks. Not for standard slop though, no siree
Suprefan
1 hour ago, CaledonianGonzo said: Presume you also have to whack a tip onto those prices as well? Yeah. But its changed quite a bit with just cashless at most u.s festivals. If youre paying with cash then just dropping your change would be easy. They just put the screen up and has percentages or custom amounts. But easily it would be $50 for 2 drinks and people wonder where their money goes. When you could pay wirh cash I would buy a water and drop a dollar in the tip jar. Doesnt happen anymore now.
